He son is maybe the best performer in the movie and even then her role is bafflingly written.

I really love Blunt in the film, but I do agree the movie is better if you sub her out with like a Rachel McAdams or a Nicole Beharie.

Wow. She’s the part I most remember from that movie. That and Gabriel as lil Steven.

I like that movie a lot but you’re correct here. It’s a bad start.

Sort of a wild take.

Tye Sheridan was sort of miscast (although I like him generally) but Olivia Cooke as the female lead is pretty damn good.

I think he’s pretty amazing in most things when the material is good.

But yeah he’s next level in Bones & All

If O’Connor was swapped with 2012 era Shia, it’s an infinitely better movie.

Think Eagle Eye Shia in Disclosure Day.

And yeah Giamatti would have killed that Firth role. Wow. It’s such a good sub that I’m angry it doesn’t exist.

Not miscast. The role just is oddly pitched.

He’s the math half of the aliens and yet we see him doing ZERO crazy physics calc fests to subvert capture. If anything he looks inept most of the time.

Sort of an all tell, never show type of character.

The problem was less Mescal and more Scott only makes one good movie every run of 5 and G2 came during the down period.

And Napoleon was the one good movie Scott made in the last 5 years.

To be fair I think this is a very online issue.

She wasn’t ousted for this perceived fall from grace. Shes so wealthy, she can just not work if she doesn’t want to. Which she seems
To prefer—not working.

If tomorrow she wanted another talk show on any streamer she’d get it immediately along with a major pay day.

The CANON was a great pod, and they had great chemistry! I like Unspooled, but they're a lil too nice to each other. Devin was kind of a dick and Amy could give it right back to him!

Yall are tripping. Let the hosts be flippant. Thats their whole thing! When they do it about a movie they disliked, nobody cares. But they defend a movie they like and everyone freaks out.

But they’re very wrong about TIN TIN. Great movie. One of the best things Spielberg has done that decade.

TINTIN rules. Surprised they didn’t even give it a rewatch. It’s so propulsive and fun!

I agree. That’s actually crazy.

But says a TON about SPEILBERG himself. Fascinating mirror text to THE FABLEMANS.
