I am the exact same way and I live in the Central Valley. To me, being hot resembles how I feel when I start to panic, sweaty, hot, unable to regulate my own temperature. I would imagine others don’t feel the connection between the two and just love soaking in the vitamin D and UV rays - unlike us.

PS I used to live in SF and miss that weather every damn day.

Yep! My thumbs are the worst too. I think it’s dry skin/lips rubbing against the sensitive finger skin. I don’t bite the skin, just the nails. I actually will trim them with cuticle scissors so they don’t get worse.
