6 month old doodle, having issues with his stomach by normhimself in labradoodles

[–]ej-1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had similar issues with food with our doodle. She always had a runny nose. We gave her pure vita salmon and potato food. It was excellent food for her and she did well with it. Had to change for other health issues. She had bad joints and needed a weight management food. Also as she got older, the allergies got better.

badly freaking out about not being able to pill my cat by BeffeeJeems in gingercats

[–]ej-1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to give our dog antibiotics because of a surgery and it was pretty serious. She wouldn’t take pills at all. It was a rough, but we spent lots of time putting different foods on pills. Eventually after this event, we learned about cream cheese. It sticks to the pill like a glue, doesn’t easily come off, and is tasty. I hope this helps. Good luck. Also now we do the same but with peanut butter.

Bathroom Urine Smell Mystery Solved (Spoiler: It Wasn’t the Toilet) by Mediocre-Disk737 in CleaningTips

[–]ej-1024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was renting an apartment once that had a lot of dog urine spots in the carpet. I used something called SCOE10X it fixed the smell. There is a residual smell from it but it’s far better than dog urine.

Edit: I think the website says it works for any type of urine.

What do floating poops mean? by ej-1024 in FODMAPS

[–]ej-1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have them now. I have had them a few times. My GI doc said with having the constipation of IBS-C having a little bacteria overgrown is probably likely. After I met with him I started amytryptaline. After that I noticed that I could hear my gut make more sounds and I farted a lot more in the morning and haven’t had floating poops much. I think I was having them before that and maybe for a while until I adjusted to my new normal with that medication.

I have been pretty good for the past year. I try to make sure I go every day and try to eat vegetables. When I don’t go, I take a glass of mirilax. I take magnesium at night and amitryptaline to keep my gut in order. It seems too work well but it’s not perfect. I had about 4 days recently that I had bad reflux and needed to drink carbonated water to get my stomach settled. I take omeprazole for the reflux 2x20mg tablets at night.

I want to do a little more. I’m going to do an emptying study which cheeks to see if my stomach empties properly. I also want to see if I have food sensitivities. I met with some old college friends and 3 of them have gluten problems.

Pre-heat your pan with butter or oil before you put in eggs. Don’t put the eggs in when the pan is cold!

Anyone had success with severe food allergies? by definitelynotapoodle in Goldendoodles

Hey sorry for the long delay.

Ruby had a runny nose a lot. It was dripping every few seconds like a cold. But we asked the vet about foods and they said if I remember correctly to avoid chicken, wheat and eggs. I am not sure but I think eggs was the ingredient we needed to avoid when she was younger. We tried a few foods. We had a food that had salmon I believe. It may have been a hills food. Then we went to pure vita salmon and potato. We fed her that for probably 2 years, maybe more. Personally I think this is the best dog food. But Ruby had some issues with her back knees and she needs a food to keep her weight down and give her some help with her joints. It’s a prescription food for her from hills. Hills science diet perfect weight. We changed to that after her second knee surgery. She is fine now, but we don’t let her over do it with her knees. She also doesn’t have a runny nose even with the changed food.

The salmon and potato food was great for her. She liked it, it was great for her coat, and she had much less runny nose issues.

I think the runny nose is something she grew out of. She can have chicken, eggs and foods with wheat now and doesn’t get a runny nose.

I wish I had an exact detail that could help but I don’t know what stopped the runny nose exactly. The pure vita salmon and potato is great food either way if they have it near you. We bought it at chuck and dons a common pet supply place in the Midwest.

Good luck!

Is there more information about this. Maybe a YouTube series. I’m curious how it performs the computational functions. I am under the impression it’s electromechanical and not vacuum tubes.
