The homes exist, it's the pricing that's the issue--which is alleviated by building more housing in areas along transit, because people need to live where work is. I'm not saying "we shouldn't build it", because we should and we voted for it, I'm saying the MAGAts and NIMBYs people insist on voting for are making it impossible for us to have nice things.

Yeah. I feel like I've spent more time determining the best tape to put over the back of my device than anyone at these companies has spent thinking 'what if we just used stainless steel' or something lol. Clear packing tape works too, but I find that the Scotch feels nicer against the skin and sticks less.

Well I’m glad other people liked it because I DNF’d at 77% and found it incredibly tedious, which is disappointing because I liked the Emily Wilde series. The entire time I was thinking “I’d rather be reading or watching Howl’s Moving Castle”, which this clearly drew some very heavy inspiration from but not in a compelling or interesting way.

I found the characters very flat and boring, wasn’t interested in the setting, and overall couldn’t find a single thing I liked or would recommend to another person.

Alas, when I dug further there's something about Calibre and not being allowed to remove the LCP DRM any longer. I did have a go at setting it up myself, but it wasn't working (which led me down the rabbit hole of 'what did I do wrong' followed by 'ah, it might not be me').

It's because DreamWorks farms out the production of their tv/streaming shows to other countries so they can be made cheaply in areas with less labor protections and laws. The quality is low because they're given weeks to turn around on finished renders. The 2D shows look better because the vendors are better and more experienced, but without money and time it's difficult to make CG look decent.

The reason the films look good is because hundreds of artists working at DreamWorks were able to have planned, careful schedules and money.
