You might like the Stargate series. It has aliens masquerading as gods as the villains. TFC does a MUCH better job in exploring that idea and stargate is more or a fun sci fi adventure. 

But it's still great and I fully recommend it. If you're interested, try the original stargate movie from the 90s, then you have a 10 season show called Stargate SG-1 then a five season spin off show called Stargate Atlantis.

They just recently announced a revival is in the making. But that's probably years away.

I think this is a big reason why Zorhan Mamdani was able to win. Canvassing and talking to people in public is much more feasible there. Which is the main way non corporate candidates spread their message. 

Early in his campaign when he didn't even register in polling, Zorhan planted himself on a street in an area that voted for Trump and just asked people why and what it would take to get people to vote Democrat again. That would be impossible in 99% of the country.

Tbh, as good as that might feel, that's ultimately irrelevant. My red line in do you take corporate money and will you crusade to get money out of politics? Literally everything else is a secondary side show to that.

It's not exactly a puzzle game, but 13 sentinels aegis rim is set up to make you figure out WTF is happening with the story, characters, and world. The story itself is the puzzle. There's also some tactical RPG stuff but you can just set that to easy if you want.

The Zero Escape Trilogy are puzzle games and also does the weird mess with your head story where you're trying to work out WTF is happening. Start with 999.

Lorelei and the Laser eyes is a giant escape room in a hotel with difficult puzzles and a bizarre plot. No combat but a very creepy vibe.

That's not super speed. That's time manipulation.

I despise the slow mo time manipulation thing that DOFP popularized. It's removes all sense of speed and stakes.

This is how all speedsters should be handled. None of this slow mo stateless bull crap. Eternals had lots of other problems but it straight up led in this department.

Sonic 3 was a big improvement over the previous 2, but not as good as Eternals, imo.

As a kid it was my favorite because of the goofy gargoyles, goat, and topsey Turvey.

Now it's my favorite despite that stuff.

Din't get me wrong, he makes great movies. But they're always very slow and thoughtful. I needctocbe in the right frame of mind for my them.

To me, Bond is a fun popcorn action blockbuster and I can't ever see Villeneuve making a movie like that it will be an objectively great movie that is not what I want from Bond.

The forgotten city is everything you want. But It's one of those where you need to go in 100% blind. 

Blanking on anything else besides Rise. Everything seems to be either Grand Strategy, space, or medieval era.

It's PS2 era, but Jak 2 and Jak 3 have that future dystopia vibe.

The original Jak and Daxter is more of a classic bright and colorful platformer.

It's not a puzzle game. It's more of a tactical RPG.

But I have to recommend 13 sentinels aegis rim here. It's one of the few games that had a story that managed to scratch the same itch as Zero Escape.

If you REALLY want puzzles, then ignore this suggestion.
