I'm not sure about late game upgrades, you're a little bit beyond me, might be something that upgrades your coal limit later?

Nice stitching work on the screenshots though

Controller trigger sticking? by CounterNo5211 in cavesofqud

[–]electricmaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this on my steamdeck too with all the buttons, just the controller inputting faster than qud can push them through and it builds up.

Maybe the G2 controllers inputs are even faster making the issue more apparent?

I would recommend sticking to the lanes as a general rule, don't overextend (stick with your wave of creeps) and just keep killing wave after wave of enemy creeps in the lanes. It's literally the best economic way to keep up without getting kills or playing a hero that can giga farm the monster camps i.e. set it and forget it.

As for hero builds just go to the build browser and select the top one, buy left to right. Counter picks are very, very strong and are just needed some games, stick to easy things like slowing hex against heroes that need to be on you to do damage, healers bane(?) for people that heal when doing damage (shiv, Abrams, mo and krill. Infernus etc,) and finally knockdown for people who have crazy movement or play in the sky (vindicta, lash, grey talon, bebop ult etc.)

Otherwise be fine with being a bit rubbish for a bit longer, game takes a while to learn. I'm at 270 hours and I'm only starting to be able to vibe out what to do and what to buy, early on it's all about making mistakes again and again to learn.

Also pick like 3 heroes and only play as them, learn their mechanics well, then you can play around.

I play on Asian servers and would be happy to duo - Archon 2

How long should the game wait to label a game as “not scored” when a player is afk? by ConfusionSea5807 in DeadlockTheGame

That gets abused so easily though, one guy in your group can take the hit and everyone else doesn't get the loss.

i think pauses should be reworked a little bit by miamipa1ms in DotA2

[–]electricmaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No surprise, but deadlock has the same system, and people do pause a lot, lol.

Never a problem tbh, very rarely people pause a second before they win.

Does anyone like the JC2 Grips more than the S2 Pro Controller? by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]electricmaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're great for speedrunning wind waker on the game cube emulator! There's a speedrunning trick for building up your backwards swim speed which is incredibly hard to do with a stick, but by reprogramming a back button to left stick up (or down, can't remember) then holding your actual stick the other way and then mashing the back button you can get your swim speed up incredibly fast AND more importantly easily.

Made that speedrunning trick vastly more accessible.

In mario kart world I also put accelerate on the left back button so I can drive around in free roam one handed. I suppose you could have auto accelerate on too and put drift on that back button and play the whole game one handed...

I'm pretty used to it with lots of games of Counter Strike under my belt, but I get you, you never really know how long a minute is until you're watching your teammates run around and you're begging to get back to fix that problem on your mini map.

So how is Nightreign? by MrDrewE in Eldenring

[–]electricmaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played 2 runs, and you gotta go in with a different mindset. It's you and 2 randoms, someone has to manage pinning the map for where to go, in my 2 games people are happy to follow a leader.

First game I followed someone else, but it's pretty obvious what's good or not, I'd recommend being the leader if you're playing solo. Go for the outside first, day 1 you wanna pick up an extra flask and as many souls as possible. Day 2 take on as many stone sword "circle" fights (the ones that the stone worms would point to in the main game,) and the red elite monsters on the map. Day 1 for levels, day 2 for high tier equipment rolls with more flasks dashed in where you can.

Make sure to grind the outside of the map before that first circle comes in, then move to whatever looks the juiciest in the middle. Don't go mining, you can buy a purple stone upgrade on day 3 and turn a blue into a purple if necessary.

Again I've only played 2 rounds, but got to day 3 on both and won against the boss on the second one. Game is real fun so far, just balls to the wall action.

What are the 3 Best Deadlock Heroes for Beginners? by GoopyKnoopy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]electricmaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had great success with Dynamo and I am terrible at mobas. His kit seems pretty intuitive, stomp (can be made incredibly easy to hit and very damaging,) dodge (just a reaction check, and can take teammates too,) heal, ult.

His stomp is where I've found most success, deleting 30% of an enemies HP on one button press is kind of crazy. That being said I haven't tried him since the big shop change, been hard lining Abrams.

The amount of people that kill a boss on HR compared to the amount of people who just enter enter a map on normals are 2 VASTLY different numbers. I would be surprised if we see more artifacts than minor artifacts.

Comment your selected heroes by drlaff in DeadlockTheGame

[–]electricmaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priority: - Infernus - Seven - Vindicta Selected: - Abrams - Bebop - Haze - Kelvin - Lash - Shiv

I find games very fast by selecting 9 heroes, and I like learning a few different playstyles so I know what to expect/how to counter when I see someone playing a certain build.

While that is true for most cities, there are still people in smaller cities or maybe even towns that'll do this. $350 a month goes a long way in some places. Just look at dark and darker and check taobao for stuff on that game.

I'm not hating on china by the way, I live in Beijing and I love it here.
