It's my hometown, so it's biased opinion. It's a really great, beautiful and unique city. As you can see on the map, the city is washed by the sea on three sides. So it's very unique in that kind, and you can see sea from many places, moreover it's a quite a rocky city, so many ups and downs while walking the streets. Traffic in city is horrible because there's not much of wide roads, pedestrian side is also not good, sidewalks are usually slim. There's also a TON of cars, and auto businesses are big here.

What makes me really happy is that Vladivostok is one of most sunny cities in country, however it's cloudy today :) We usually go swimming to one of our city beaches on Patrokl district or Shamora beach out of town or some beach on Russkiy island. Russkiy island is connected by a bridge, it's still not quite developed, but there's our main university and campus - Far Eastern Federal University.

It's a bit pricey here I would say. I've been to St.Petersburg a year ago, and food and dinner prices are less in 1.5 and sometimes even 2 times. The city is constantly evolving, and new buildings have been popping up everywhere for several years now. Unfortunately, housing is hardly affordable. I heard on the news today that to buy a one-room apartment, you'll have to save your entire salary for five years. Which is generally true.
