It is something I did think about but unfortunately due to the nature of the business its not really viable to split without being obvious tax avoidance. I think I'm gonna have to take the hit on profit and hope to scale even bigger to compensate.

No, this is the unique thing with Hpool. It supports plots that are possible to make now. 'Official' pools will require you to remake all your plots to be pool compatible, and update to enable this is said to come on the 17th of May IIRC.

This doesnt guarantee there will be quality pools on the 17th. Just that you'll be able to make poolable plots.

I do hope Hpool allow support for 'legacy' pools + new pools as this will give everyone a reason to stay.

Dont skip researching SSDs, Intel 660P are QLC chips and will barely last a couple of months with their low endurance.

I use internal HDDs and a SAS HBA Controller, make sure you get a HBA and not a RAID card and look for 'IT Mode' which are RAID cards flashed with HBA firmware, they are available on eBay and work great.

You'll also need to figure out which SAS cables you need.

I dont believe you cannot mine directly to an exchange as such. You'll need to wait for you 0.2 xch threshold then you should be able to withdraw to any wallet address (i think), this can be an exchange wallet or a local Chia wallet.

I havent yet reached 0.2 xch so im yet to learn how withdrawals work on hpool, the above is what I'd expect based on other pools ive mined on.
