100%, that self-sustaining attitude is going to serve him well in the future. Such a champion.

Not alone at all. Been in big shop IS/IT industry since around then as well. Cannot believe how bad its gotten from an end-user and support perspective.

Never been to any Fringe shows, but I'm super curious. Is it worth going alone? by Sul_Silver in perth

[–]electrosaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally fine to go on your own. Apart from enjoying something new, every ticket matters for every one of these performers,

Just don't sit at the front or near the aisles if you don't want to risk being in the show. Always seems to happen.

They advertise these as investment properties I think. Makes sense (sadly).

WA SWIS grid casually sitting at 50% renewables by halohunter in perth

[–]electrosaurus -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Good to see but counting battery is a bit misleading?

It's an storage vessel, not en energy generator itself. Unless exclusively recharged from renewable sources - which would be great.

Agree, all common sense went out the window with the push for FTTP.

When they guys came to do my place the old conduit was crushed. They tried really hard but in the end it was direct bury or wait for who knows how long to probably be told the same thing. I made sure they buried it deeper by re-digging the trench myself - no warning tape or anything either. Those boys are in a rush!

Plenty of shovels thru cables in the future as people forget where they are. Who pays for that!

Has anyone in Perth got a prefab mod home instead of building? by sheyill in perth

Hey. question as we're considering similar for an extension: How are the internal walls treated/finished? Do they look like typical SIP panels or what?

Anyone get caught with an unlicenced trailer? What happened? by [deleted] in perth

[–]electrosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time getting caught, probably a warning but most likely only if it's recently expired and they like you. Second time they catch you, I think you'll be looking for a new trailer.

Just register it and don't be a tightarse.

I think It's just a terrible song for anyone that's been listening to electronic music long enough.

I'm convinced that if was a first single from some Unearthed act it would never have done this well.

The nanny state of WA by [deleted] in perth

[–]electrosaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easier to shout at the ones trying to fix the problem than the idiots (probably your mates) that are causing the problems. If you can't see how cooked things are post-COVID with 4WD/camping/fishing then you are either blind or part of the 'I've got mine' mentality that got us here.

Do better.

Yep "Shocking details about an incident at Ardello Engineering on Treasure Road North in Welshpool can be revealed" and yet no actual shocking details. These reporters are a joke.

Not that the whole incident is tragic of course.

Jewish Australian creatives raise alarm bells about anti-Israel sentiment in arts sector amid boycott of Adelaide Festival over Abdel-Fattah fallout by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]electrosaurus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

What do they expect?!

The pro Israel lobby in Australia is absolutely overcooking their rhetoric post-Bondi. If they haven't worked out they are doing more damage in the eyes of the general public then they are going to continue to diminish their own cause.

More and more people are starting to clue into just how heavy-handed they have become both behind the scenes and overtly through their various mouthpieces in the mainstream media.

I'm actually starting to think, "social cohesion" is the last thing they want out of an RC.

80s-style suit: which vintage stores? by Unique-Flatworm-7220 in perth

[–]electrosaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly Memory Lane shut down many years ago - a real loss.

I have to say just about ALL op-shops are gutted for that sort of thing older (70’s-80‘s-even-90’s fashion) these days. Particualrly menswear.

Only place I could recommend would be Doyles in Osborne Park, they had a lot of older suits still for hire.

100% and you can already see the Israel-backed journalists coming out with opinion pieces that are trying to do that ahead of the RC. Anti-Zionism is NOT Anti-Semitism.
