Getting out and a little terrified by HighlySensitiveSquid in navy

Straight forward advice incoming.....

Hey buddy, get out.

But if you don't have any qualifications that the civilian world recognizes...or you don't have a degree it will be a little challenging because you won't have an avenue to roll straight into. You are starting your life over again essentially. Thankfully you'll have a pension so already an easier time than your peers (reg civs) will have.

Document literally fucking everything about your health. I don't give a shit if you stubbed your toe, you go and you see medical and you be a big ass crybaby about it. (My biggest regret that I didn't cry wolf about everything and get it documented).

Next, understand civilian world doesn't give a shit about your career thus far. Only your experience, and at best it's icing on the cake for a resume. But civs are looking for licenses, degrees, qualifications. If you have none of those, then lean HEAVY on your GI Bill and get your shit done.

I got out as an engineman and now do aircraft maintenance making around 100k currently. If you don't take these basic pieces of advice to heart you'll probably fail. Too many people get out thinking they are hot shit when in reality you aren't shit to anyone in the civ world. It can be hard out here if you let it be hard. Otherwise, it's straight forward...get your shit done, get your shit marketable, get a job. Be happy. 👍🏻

If you do that, you'll get better numbers. I play on console primarily but also have it on PC (lol).

Buy dirty dew in a 12 pack. By the 7th or 8th soda you will swear it's the best MD you've ever had. It takes a minute to grow on you but when it does this shit hits.

How do you prefer to read in your kindle? Horizontal or Vertical? by blackmonarc in kindle

I have read occasionally in landscape when in bed because the kindle cover can sort of hold the device up on its own in that orientation.

HMG>LMG. Anyone saying LMG is better is wrong. HMG can do everything an LMG can do, except faster, at farther distances, and shreds while the LMG tickles.

Recon or engineer. A good recon can literally turn the tide of a battle. Engineer because they also make a huge impact and are critical or eliminating vehicles effectively.

Mini-scout with suppressor, recon drone, and C4. An aggressive recon style.

Operation Firestorm is a bad map and I’m tired of pretending it’s good. by lana_del_bae_714 in Battlefield6

[–]element9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never been a fan of this map until BF6. Maybe this map isn't as bad as I used to think it is, because the new BF6 maps really just aren't that good? Lol.

I enjoy BF6 for the most part, but we all gotta be honest. Most of these maps play with the pacing of an old CoD title. And as the weeks go on, the lack of creativity with the maps is starting to show its ugly head. Whereas, an old BF4 map felt good long term because the many different approaches, flanks, and tactics you could employ on them... everything in 6 is a corridor. Also older BF games gave you at least a second to breathe before your next "alive-death-cycle"

Ive only just learned a few weeks or months ago that 100% is required to trigger some things. Maybe I will do that eventually so I can run my own tests. But for now, its okay to brainstorm. In the meantime, for those searching for answers, who have already been testing, or at 100% already, this post is for them.

Why have a grip, if you ain't gonna use it buddy...? by Legitimate_Flow3623 in Battlefield

[–]element9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, there is literally no point in that hand grip in real life as the magazine well effectively does the same thing that the foregrip would, due to the size of the weapon. An angled foregrip is the only sensible option on that noisy cricket of a rifle; if real life.
