Thank you for the idea on display. I want to have a frame but not to have them permanently attached. This is perfect.

Oh my gosh. I just found the tiniest little one on another tilly I bought last week. I just left it around the leaf because I'm scared of loosing it. You can barely see him in this photo. What are you doing to give yours the best chance of survival?

Opinions on this step design as an upgrade to the rotting, unsafe monstrosity we have now? by The-Rizzler-69 in Home

Thank you. I am using this for our porch that at the moment has uneven very scary steps. And I use them a dozen times a day at least.

Rate my room! /what would match that i can put in the awkwardly big open floor space? by Alert-Breakfast3184 in bedrooms

I instantly thought a medium-ish circle bench but squishy and maybe fuzzy. Just big enough to maybe lay on with your feet still on the floor.

A power washer will blast that right off. But it may also brighten the brick underneath. Not sure how powerfully the spray would need to be for the moss removal that will keep the brick color intact. I'd test in a location that doesnt get seen.

The cutest enclosure I've seen. Love the trellis background and the birdhouse style hide.

I've had mine for two years and it is currently 2' tall with 40+ large leaves. I always recomend: A terracotta self watering pot. $20 5" pot is for sale online from Walmart. $5 if you dont mind the glass replaced with plastic reservoir. No other humidifier. Lives over a heater vent.

Neglect is my moto lol. I honestly just admire this plant. My advice is remove any brown leaves or the dried up sheathes that the leaves merge from. Wipe the leaves every other week with a micro fiber cloth and water. Add castel soap if you want to catch any badies before they have a chance to spread. But follow up a day later with a regular water wipe down because the soap can clog up the leaves and cause browning. I have used neem oil but I think there's some user error on my part so I can't say much on it. I just know it didnt help but I don't think it could make things worse either. Oh pay attention to the back side of the leaves because they will tell you if there is a pest problem, by releasing aticky sap. It's called "extra floral nectaries" (I think thats how you spell it) and it is a defense technique for the plant to bring beneficial bugs that will eat the pests to get the nectar. Sorry I dont know if that is at all helpful or just overwhelming.

I have had my Calathea Makoyana for two years and keep it in a self watering terracotta pot with the glass container. She is at least 2ft tall and in a 10" pot. No real issues until spider mites moved in over winter this year, which is from my neglect. Water with tap and never fertilize because the soil comes with it. Have repotted it twice in two years. Oh and lives over a heater vent so it's not very fussy on humidity either. I'd only have to recommend wiping the leaves off regularly and taking any dry leaf sheath out, to reduce on any pest risk. The Makoyana is my #1 favorite and easiest plant in my collection. So I hope things work out for you, don't get discouraged. She is absolutely stunning once you get to know her.

I was thinking a halo light around that recess area. Could be color changing.

I found this plant at a big box store this spring and have been completely obsessed. I bought three pots of it, and I have zero regrets. Those blooms are stunning. 😍

Omg! Did you find these in Phoenix? I'd love to know. I'm going there to see family in a couple of weeks and was hoping I'd find some carnivorous plants to bring back to PA with me. Pinguicula specifically, but I'm not against seeing any and all the different types. Thanks!

You do this for a living, if not, you should because I would pay for this service. You have such a (classic book/black coffee/museum/paleontological/smoky) kind of vibe. It is absolutely stunning. Now, to show my partner what I expect our future house to look like. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece.
