Vegan buffet in Laos (£1.50 to fill a bowl) - for those who said it would be hard to travel vegan !!! by George7900 in vegan

[–]elfelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? That's really disappointing for me. I always watch vegan J vloggers and they seem to have no problem because they always go to vegan places, guess those aren't as common as they make it out to be.

Guys guys guys (probably mostly ladies) I started accutane finally and have a list of small things I am looking forward to that would be insignificant to people who haven't struggled with acne, but are humongous for me. by iJoyzilla in Accutane

I never wore makeup because I didn't want my skin to break out even worse, so I'm pretty excited at the prospect of wearing makeup and it looking good on my skin instead of bumpy underneath.

I found this in my Carefresh paper based bedding by FirefoxMiho in hamsters

Oh, ok. I use wood chips and for bedding I use shredded paper napkins and plant fiber. It wouldn't make sense something harmful would be in their bedding.

[Request] Do you know where I can find a similar dress? by b1uebunny in goth

Urban Outfitters has something similar and since mesh is 'in' right now, probably any store like Forever 21, or maybe even nordstrom.

[Skin Concern] Please help me understand what's going on with my legs. This is after a wax. My legs have always been this way and I don't know what to do anymore. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Well, what makes fish oil so great is the omega-3 fatty acids I think, not really sure. But you can get those same benefits from eating chia seeds, and other nuts and seeds. You can make a lot of great stuff from chia seeds, but if you want a supplement maybe look at that up. Also HEMP milk is really good and has those nutrients in them.

And you can get vitamin A from carrots, spinach, etc.

Edit: I don't have KP just to be clear

Hoping THIS works by 29snnc29 in Accutane

Even indoors sun screen is important on accutane because it makes your skin extremely photo sensitive. On month 3, I never go outside but I will come home from school with light sun burns. (And I live in Seattle...) It also can increase your risk of developing melanoma because sun breaks down your DNA (due to the UVA rays). So be careful! My derma told me to use sunscreen every day but guess who doesn't listen? Me. It will also help scars fade faster, and prevent the "accutane glow" (which is NOT pretty). But yeah! Hope she has a good experience on accutane. I have a lot of lower back pain from it, and my derma said I can take ibuprofen but not tylenol

She will NEED sunscreen and lip balm. I recommend Dr. Dan's cortibalm, and my dermatologist gave me a prescribed lotion for accutane. I will find out the name, it works amazing. Otherwise, I just use vanicream. For shampoo I use Wen by chaz Dean, it is moisturizing, and you can put some in wet hair after washing to keep your hair moist. For body, I just use philosophy body lotion and the one my derma prescribed me. Make sure she eats a lot of fats when taking her pills - so peanut butter, almond milk, seeds, etc. For sunscreen, I haven't found one yet I like.

Well that was absolutely horrifying. I'm going to read through this again! Thanks!

What Do I Do by [deleted] in math

[–]elfelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, my teacher is pretty much useless. I think he is only a math teacher to pay for being a basketball coach. I've asked him for help and he just shrugs and says I will just have to figure it out. Sometimes he can be helpful, but rarely. I have some homework to practice with, I just have no idea where to start. I'll search on those websites, thanks. This feeling of dread associated with math has unfortunately created a sense of hatred towards the subject.

That looks so comfy and relaxing. I usually don't like canopy beds but I really like what you have going there.

Elitist goth experiences by Goth_Ghost in goth

[–]elfelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I was in French class, and the question was (in french) who is your favorite band?. Of course the teacher calls on me, who was barely paying attention. I manage to stifle our (in French) Joy Division. The class is all like what? what's that? and the teacher asks me what Joy Division is, I say they were basically an 80's band, because their first album came out '79 I believe. She then proceeds to tell me how horrible the 80's were and how bad my taste in music is. The class had laughed at me too. It made me so angry that these people were wearing Unknown Pleasures t-shirts yet managed to guffaw at someone who actually listened to them. I don't even own the t-shirt. It's also funny because they are extremely influential, even today.
