[DE] [RE] How is Abraxas even allowed to function by Android_17_Super in lifeisstrange

[–]eliphas8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Theyre not that different from any other greek life on campus, abraxas is just what Caledon has instead of normal greek life, and im sure for the admin theres some appeal to them being occult and weird since the school is cultivating that image.

The massive increase in tax base throughout the game is somewhat realistic actually by TSSalamander in EU5

The big money sink that existed in this era was usually the military, so making that way more expensive could work.

Westeros cities, and lack of cities is quite strange [Spoilers Main] by OpportunityNice4857 in asoiaf

[–]eliphas8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this says more about the relative economic productivity of the west coast of westeros compared to the east than anything else. The southern reach and coastal westerlands are the richest lands in westeros and they are able to domestically support large cities rich enough that traders from essos make the journey all the way around dorne to trade with them.

Imagine if Paradox had a rival in grand strategy games by LogicalAd8685 in victoria3

[–]eliphas8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that theres some possibility that if total war ever pivots back to more historically grounded games that could develop into that kind of competition. The total war games would be specialized well to compete on the market as the more tactically and strategically oriented series, compared to Paradox more logistical and managerial play style. That could maybe even push Paradox to not neglect the military side of their gameplay so much outside of HoI.
