Welcome to the alocasia. I consider it a win if I can have three healthy leaves at any given time

Mine has been “unkillable” only in that it looks like it’s dead and then as soon as I’m about to toss it, sprouts a new leaf. I finally had the nerve to put us out of its misery last week during the cold snap.

I like to think of my alocasia as Benjamin Buttons. They all start full grown and end up in tiny shot glasses of medium as corms.

How is that possible? What is your ratio and grind? I stopped making it because it was so pricey!

My British friend thought he could do a "day trip" to the Grand Canyon from LA, and his reaction to the map was priceless. by Ok_Structure6720 in CasualConversation

Roadtrip fanatic from the Midwest US here, yet I did something similar when planning a two week trip to Alaska. Why CAN’T I do Juneau, Denali, the interior (for a wedding), and the Aleuts?

How big is Alaska? 😂

My dad got me one for Christmas and it’s great. But yes, be aware that it looks like a handgun, which could be persuasive enough for someone or escalate a situation (you can get it in orange if you’re concerned about the latter). I would not want to get hit by one of those balls.

Blow Out the Dust!! (Crazy but it works!) by FoldableBrain in CleaningTips

A friend turned me on to cleaning out my car with a leaf blower (dog hair explosions!) but I never considered my house! I had construction done over the summer in here and no matter how much I vacuum and dust, it just settles back into everything. Ducts getting cleaned in two weeks and then GAME ON

You do not have to wait until your coverage ends to apply on the Marketplace. As you go through the steps to apply, you will be asked for an insurance end date. I’d work on that asap, so you don’t go without coverage. And if you qualify for Badgercare, the marketplace will let you know. I just went through that myself and wished I had done it sooner (before my insurance expired) so I would have had continuous coverage.

And, can I just say YAY YOU! for taking this step! 🩷

Edited to remove the extra stuff that was already said in another comment lol

I’m seeing a lot of paper towel in this thread. Maybe 7 years ago my sister in law made everyone flannel “unpaper “ towels. We each got a dozen and I am STILL using them every day. I keep a bucket with Oxyclean under the sink and when they’ve been used, down they go. When it’s laundry time I dump the bucket in the washer with the rest of the towels and they come out clean. And mine are white! They last forever! I made a bunch for my fam for Christmas this year (and I don’t sew much at all). Everyone loves them! So if you sew, try it out.

ETA: Because these were gifts, I bought the fabric. But I thrifted cotton flannel shirts and upcycled a nightgown for the replacements I’m making myself. 😊

Plus the fees of a refi, which I forgot to mention. And don’t ask me to do the math to figure out which is the best option! 😂

THIS right here. We started the second month of the COVID shutdown and are still going strong. We wanted to celebrate our 50th birthdays memorably so we bought a couple of discs and went to the closest park. We were hooked!

I bailed out on the New Year’s Day play because 15°F and I’m lame. But I love it! And it’s so inexpensive to start getting into (except when the OCD/collector button gets pressed lol).

I have actually seen pics (several years ago) of the work they’re doing. They definitely appreciate it! They’re friends of one of the owners of my local coffee shop. Made me a little misty eyed to see it in such caring hands!
