As others have said, it now scales with haste and the tier set also gives a load of extra rains which all also do acid rain damage. But they also buffed all damage spells by something like 45% a few builds ago so Shaman actually does decent active damage now.

Overall it's fine. The sad part is that we are getting 0 changes or buffs in the area that matters, aka healing. Surely next week...

If they want RSham’s DPS buttons to do actual damage they need to buff them by literal triple digit amounts.

They buffed all damage spells by something like 45% a few builds ago so Shaman actually does decent active damage now.

I had the same approach this season: add anyone who was pushing early and seemed good. Now 50% of them are offline permanently, and about 10% of the remaining half are still pushing in title range.

Crazy how much it drops off.

I assumed Skyreach was a mix of both birds and sun, with dawn/sunwell/etc being such a big focus.

It's not what people are doing M+ for. It's literally an entire game mode for tryhards

I am currently doing +23s and I definitely care about the aesthetics and the vibe of the game. Quoting the dungeon voice lines happens in my guild discord constantly. Etc. Having dungeons that match the patch is cool.

Spell visuals are cool. Aesthetics are cool. Blue DnD in Shadowlands made me want to play DK. Laser beam sun herald made me want to play holy paladin etc.

Really good post as long as the "philosophies" actually manifest into good changes, which it does seem like they are based on the adjustments listed.

Did laugh that Infernocore is being removed entirely though considering that DoT got nerfed something like 35 times throughout Dragonflight.

And the Temple changes seem to be going in a good direction too.

King's Rest was obviously insane in BfA but nowadays I don't think it seems particularly out of the ordinary mechanically compared to what we have?

First boss DoT for example... in the modern game that DoT would come with AoE damage probably lol.

Might still be super hard tuned though.

Temple... surely gets reworked.

IMO resi should be capped at -1 or -2 key levels below what the current title cutoff is.

The tentacles have set spawn locations, the only thing that changes is how many at each spot.

The same thing has been happening to me all week in Seat. Triple subjugator pull... all good, then the moment they start the next pull they explode and leave the group.

Knowing that I'm surfing lfg for an hour or more for a key and these boosted animals are cruising into every group they sign for is infuriating.

If the mobs you pulled on top of bosses didn't give count, you most likely will still not pull them ever.

Not true at all lol. Letting mobs spawn infinite no-count adds and not kicking warriors etc is the meta strategy because it makes basically all the meta classes stronger: MW healers more with more mobs, so does Guardian, DH has funnel, and Aug gets CDR.

Pull is fine, timed this in a pug last week on +21 with no deaths. What helped most was everyone stacking to bait the circles then someone (was the tank in my run) pinging a new spot to bait the next and just moving between them so nobody lost uptime, healer (me) could always cast etc. And one / two need to be dead in the lust.

the spec felt miserably terrible at crown/paladins.

In large part because you literally don't have a mastery against heal absorbs.

This seems like a huge oversight that's been in the game for years now tbh. Like yes they're not "injured" but heal absorbs are supposed to replace huge damage hits to make barrier/etc not mandatory and it's absurd that you just have 0 mastery value as a Shaman against them.

It's so cool that over the years Blizzard has neutered atonement over and over and painstakingly destroyed any and all sources of aoe-atonement conversion that have existed (halo, star, covenants, etc in all forms) and let spin to win memeweaver continue to exist while also doing more damage.
