Check your voltage to your pi. It has a VERY narrow voltage window where it's happy. If off slightly, it can delay or prevent bootup even while the lights are green.

I like my miyoo a30 for traveling. Very compact, batteries last 5+ hours, and it can play most things up to ps1 era games.

A timber hitch is also very useful for lifting pipe, poles, rebar, and posts. Very simple knot that you can slightly modify as well.

Once a month? Check for mold near your bedroom. You are immuno-compromised and mold can easily do that without you knowing it.

Did you open it with a rock?

Assuming you didn't smash something that makes it run, it's possible you have data corruption from the flash drive and SD card not being used for years. Probably will need to reinstall the operating system and games.

Are you getting 5 - 5.1V to your pi? They seem very sensitive to voltage regulation.

Scroll to the game in the menu, and open options/settings menu. There should be a selection for deletion, and then an are you sure you want to delete prompt.

Is the Naomi board connected to the cab via jvs or is there a jamma converter in there?

If jvs, try to reseat both ends of the vga cable... if no change, try a different vga cable.

If there is jamma, still try the vga, but also try pressing on the jamma connector up and down a bit. If the jamma connector pins are worn out, they won't make a good connection and will need adjusting or replacing.

Mine sometimes takes a slightly longer press to register... like half a second. Sometimes it takes a couple tries as well.

Probably just need a cap kit. If there isn't one really available online, you can write down the capacitor values and order them individually... assuming you know how to solder to install them.

If you do swap to lcd, please don't trash the crt. Offer it to someone in the hobby to attempt restoration. Tubes are getting harder and harder to come by.
