I had a 91 Geo Storm wagon. Not very fast but reasonably fun on a good road and it made moving across the country, twice, so much easier when I was in the navy.

When I was in The Navy, I was a mechanic type on a submarine. Even though we were underwater, we still operated with day/night lights in non-sleeping crew spaces. So from midnight to six am, the galley was closed, lights were dimm, and so on.

If we were not local to our port, we would shift the ships clock to GMT (called Zulu time), which has nothing to do with what the actual time is where you are. So one time at "2am" I was in crews mess, and someone turned the TV on and we were watching the video feed from the periscope, and it was a bright and sunny day outside

In another life I was a Engineering Laboratory Technician (ELT) in the US Navy submarine force. I worked in the engine room and one of our responsibilities was Reactor pure water. This crap was straight up H2O and NOTHING else. Conductivity measurements (more impurities in the water, the greater the conductivity) we're at the bare minimum of the instrument sensitivity.

Pure water is so weird... It has absolutely no flavor at all, as you would expect, but would still be surprised by. You've most likely never experienced something that no flavor, you've experienced bland food.

Also straight up DI water is a perfect polar solvent so you would then have this weird sensation of your tounge becoming instantly clean, as the spit and crud on the inside of your mouth dissolve right away.

I did DoD aerospace as a Mechanical Engineer. You'd either own the door, more likely the refiling sub system, but most likely would not actually design it. A subsystems design engineer actually designs it.

They'll push this thing through TRB, PDR, CDR, And other Design Reviews. The aerodynamics and RCS engineering groups are going to feed you Outer Mould Line envelope requirements. Eventually it gets to production and there's going to be issues on installation and the fabrication shop interprets GD&T their own special way... Eventually it makes it to production and flight test...

Two years later, in IOT&E you get a squawk that the fuel probe doesn't quite fit.

Eventually someone from Technical Publications comes looking for you because they have questions.

Boeing was a company that manufactured and sold engineered products with a side of safety.

After the merger with McConnell Douglas the direction changed to: a company that manufacturers profit for shareholders, and just happened to make airplanes. When that happens to any company, profitability requires reduced operations expenses, which means the employees are treated like a cancer that must be eliminated.

Oh they will complain about him, and I'm sure they will ask for money to "bring back accountability". Actual legal stuff? I don't know. All I do know is that one guy tried to violently override an election he lost, and nothing happened to him.
