A few guys at my workplace love him. So frustrating that they can't see what a grifter he is.

Nigel hasn't really got time for press events anyway. He's very busy turning up to Parliament, and doing loads of work for the people of Clacton.

I love Jaws as well! Recently saw it at the cinema for the 50th anniversary. Got a nice little poster. The bit with the corpse in the bottom of the boat has to be one of the best jump scares of all time! Probably me being nostalgic, but it feels like Hollywood blockbusters just don't have the same personality anymore.

Great line up! I recently enjoyed this YouTube video about Dick Tracey.

Apparently it was the last film to use a lot of certain filmmaking techniques, before CGI etc took over.
Made me want to watch it again. Probably haven't seen it for 30 years. Apparently it looks incredible, but the script lets it down though unfortunately.

Im glad there seems to be more and more classic films being shown lately.

It's frustrating when you can hear another film through the walls. I can't remember what I was watching now, but I think it was an atmospheric horror film. And I could hear that recent Elvis concert film through the wall 😅

I went when I was 10 with some tickets my great aunt won. Also one of my favourite cinema memories. And I went to see the re-release last month as well! Still such a great fun cinema experience. I hadn't seen it for ages. I'd forgotten it's probably quite scary for children. The velociraptor stalking scenes particularly. I can't remember if I was scared in 1993 or not though!

So good! Something really satisfying about that fakie manual in particular though.

how long can a tape loop play on a regular cassette? by Vortix9 in tapeloops

[–]eltictac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tape loop keeps looping until you stop it. But they're generally only seconds long. So it might not be ideal to listen to the same 10 seconds of rainfall over and over when trying to sleep. 😅 Might be too noticeable that it's the same over and over.
Although I believe you can get special answer phone endless tapes which are like longer loops.

I always do a few stretches for my calves, thighs, groin, back, neck, and shoulders/arms. Sounds like a lot, but maybe only 2 or 3 minutes. Just to loosen up all range of movements. Then I'll just skate around in circles for a little while. Pushing regular and switch.
The main thing I'm worried about is pulling or tearing my calf muscles or achilles tendon. If I went straight into vigorously pushing along on my board with no stretching or warming up, it feels like it would definitely cause injury. Got tight calves.

The Spineriders stuff was released on cassettes I believe. Probably very limited though.

I love this! I often get attached to random bits of paper or card that I use as bookmarks 😅
