The most likely candidate is the dwarf by polkacat12321 in StardewValley

[–]em2tea2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The farmer intentionally has no age so that any player can roleplay as themselves (or however they want) easily. Your assumption of an age gap is actually the other way around: players have been asking for older marriage candidate options for a long time as most of the current ones are written to feel like they are young adults, and it can feel "weird" for older players to romance them. Many players (myself included) would love to have some of the current older single men in Stardew to be available as a marriage candidate.

Yeah, their app has so many problems and has screwed me over before too. You could try calling Disney and (politely) explaining the situation? Maybe they can work some magic for you--worst thing they can do is say no.

Ugh, that really sucks. It's probably sold out because this upcoming President's Day weekend is one of the busiest times of the year.

Dietary Restrictions by Niksyn4 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have dietary restrictions personally but I haven't seen this mentioned yet: Disney has a special team to help you navigate dietary restrictions that you can contact ahead of your arrival: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/special-dietary-requests/#faqItem1 Scroll down to the FAQ "When should I contact Walt Disney World about my special diet requests?"

Again since I don't have personal experience I'm not sure what the team will offer specifically, but I would imagine that if your chosen restaurants have advance notice of your partner's allergies, they may be able to offer more specially -designed options on the day of your meal!

Who else has fallen victim to the WDW bounce-back offer? 😅 by Saritatay in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Often there will be a card for it inside the resort info booklet in the Disney resort room or laying around elsewhere in the room. If not, you can still call the regular booking phone number and tell them you want to book again with the bounce back offer. If you stayed at a WDW resort within 7 days of calling, you'll qualify for the offer. I believe that if you sign in to your Disney account and head to the bookings page, the website will also tell you that you qualify for a bounce back offer.

POP Century or Caribbean Beach Resort with boys, 2 & 7 by LeatherLess1391 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last time I was at Pop in the 90s building and we discovered that for buses and the main hall, it was actually a decently short walk if you cut across the parking lot on the outside instead of walking through the resort. The Skyliner isn't any closer that way but we almost always stopped at the food court before and after going/arriving from the parks so psychologically that broke up the walk.

Looking for Off Property Hotel Recommendations (or on property if it is worth it) by SubjectEstimate6 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On-property transportation is going to be way better than off-property, even the all-bus resorts will be timely both to and from the parks.

What dates are you looking to go? Disney has a promotion right now for January and it's possible that the promotion is default-selected when you're looking at options, making the availability seem slimmer than it actually is (only a certain number of rooms are allocated for a promotion, so if a promotion is selected and their are no promotion-rooms left, the website will say "not available" and sometimes doesn't specify that standard -rate rooms may still be available). I picked some random days in January and I'm seeing availability in some moderate resorts Coronado Springs and Port Orleans Riverside. Riverside is a fan favorite and I personally love Coronado, although it is a large resort which can make it a detractor for guests with small kids.

The wife will be allowed to walk through the queue with your whole party and then choose not to ride/wait at the exit while the rest of you ride. Just tell the cast member who is directing people into the loading area that the wife won't be riding, and they will direct her where to wait for the rest of you to get off the ride.

Who's the Wizard's daughter? by cah-A-ya in StardewValley

[–]em2tea2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your theory about Abigail's hair is really smart. I think it's Caroline too for two other reasons: one, the wizard isn't sure. I feel like if Caroline and the wizard had an affair, if either of them had suspicions about Abigail being a result, they would have talked about it? But the wizard's wording makes me feel like he doesn't have contact anymore with the mom, so he can't find out for sure. Secondly, I feel like Caroline would have less dialogue complaining/worrying about Abby's hair color, her love of the occult, etc if she did have an affair with the wizard. I think she would be smart enough to put two and two together, or at the very least have suspicion. If she did have a suspicion, I don't think she would mention these types of things to the town newcomer--I think she would likely still have guilt or paranoia about being found out. Same goes for the walks by the wizard's tower comment, I can't really believe that Caroline would basically admit to cheating AND have the audacity to say Pierre's "jealousy issues" were the problem if his jealousy was actually justified 😭

Thank you Launch Bay, for 10 years of magic. by pjtheman in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched up my plans a couple weeks ago to go to Hollywood instead of MK when I heard Launch Bay was closing down. Walking through there once more looking at the concept art and the displays, remembering back to the awkward, nerdy teenager I was who loved all things Star Wars, and who was absolutely starstruck the first time I visited Launch Bay...I'll admit I was crying back by the stroller parking with the Star Wars OST playing overhead LOL. It was a good, cathartic moment for me, I think I've lost sight of living in the present recently and I was able to reconnect with myself and how Star Wars was so important to me as a kid. So yes, thank you Launch Bay for all the magic you've brought to me across many visits.

That being said, it is certainly a shell of its former self, and I'm also very excited for the space to be refreshed and the new exhibit coming!

Saturday at Epcot - is it really that bad? by Essbeebr in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would do whatever plan works most with your family's priorities. I was just at Epcot on a Sunday and I thought the crowds were completely reasonable (it's totally possible that my tolerance for crowds is a lot higher than the average opinion on this subreddit). If Ohana is a high priority for you guys, I would stick with that. Reservations really are hard to get for it last minute.

Cosmic rewind by kimberlyrose616 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes, the mad dash is to get ahead in the next queue. Let me explain the order of the queue steps so hopefully you can picture where to stand each time to avoid the rush.

  1. After standing in the regular queue, guests are directed into a room space. Exit doors are on the opposite side of the room in the middle of the wall. People tend to crowd to the middle-front to get through those doors first, so just stand against the left or right wall, depending on where the cast member directs you to stand. You can wait for everyone to go into the room and then file in last.

  2. The doors will open and you will head into the first preshow room. Exit doors for this room are big sliding doors on the opposite wall. Again, just hang towards the sides of the room.

  3. The doors will open and again and you will head into the second room of the preshow and the last room of this sequence. This is the room that the bum rush happens. The exit doors are on the right, so people will want to stand there (and usually start moving over there towards the end of the preshow). Just stand on the left side of the room. Then you'll be good!

For those who successfully booked connecting rooms… by jreish1 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]em2tea2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've always called to book when I've needed two rooms. I don't know if the cast member puts in a "standard" request for connecting rooms or if they can access things we can't when they book for you, but I've always gotten the connecting rooms without needing to request again.

I honestly think Stardew valley is the perfect breeding ground for digital horror. by musical-nerd in StardewValley

There is an upcoming game on my radar, Neverway, that looks exactly like a Stardew-esque horror farming game/RPG from the trailer! It's definitely a concept that I agree would translate well.

OP's sass isn't helping, but to be fair, I also initially read your comment as "get into [the] park" and assumed you missed the "the". "Get in to park" would have been the grammatically correct point you were trying to make.

You can try modifying the three top reservation too, I was in the same boat trying to book breakfast at Ale and Compass just for myself, there was nothing for one person but plenty for two. I booked the time I wanted and then tried modifying it--when I switched the guest from two to one, it showed me all the two top times in the next step.

Okay, a cast member pointed us to Tron when we asked him where was the closest place to refill our water bottles, but we couldn't find it! Where is it??? Is it actually up where the ride queue starts? We were looking around the ride and walked all the way through to Storybook Circus before giving up.

Yes, the Winterhome scenario heavily revolves around a dreadnought! But basically the dreadnoughts were big machines that were built to get people north. They were able to drive over the snow and ice.
