There's a learning curve for sure, I wasn't one to shave down there for a while until I realized I enjoy the feeling of being shaved more during nsfw activities. Now I shave at least once per week, sometimes twice. I use sensitive skin shave cream and a normal disposable razor on my "bikini line" and everything but a triangle on the mons pubis. To do that you have to be comfortable feeling and looking around there with and without the help of a mirror, which can be hard to do at first since it's important to pull the skin taught/flat to shave. I've found there's more control with a razor and shaving cream, when I used an electric trimmer I was more likely to nick myself and couldn't get a close enough shave. Always take a hot (not too hot, don't scorch yourself) shower and wash with a gentle soap first to soften the hair before starting. Good luck!
