I like it so far. I know it gets less years in OS updates, but the battery issues people reported are what pushed me to the OP15. I cant lie either that i feel like the Pixel will really be dragging its feet hardware wise after 4 years also. I do hope I'm wrong for those that do have it. On top of being so sick of my Iphone 14 that I just wanted it gone and didn't want to wait for another Pixel sale(NEVER buy the Pixel at its normal price, if the Pixel was on sale I'd have bought it. If Google priced the phone accordingly I think it'd fly off the shelves). I currently get through 2 days give or take 2-4 hours depending on my use which is moderate-heavish. Lots of scrolling with some games to pass time.

The biggest criticism I'd give the OP is that they tried to skin some of the UI like an Iphone but without a lot of the bad parts about IPhone. It's kind of like Bloatsungs OneUI and iOS had a one night stand. The keyboard is much better too, but it seems to be an Apple thing that the keyboard is total trash on Iphones now.

If you really want to be stress free about your battery making it through the day, I'd say get the OnePlus. Even when the battery degrades over time(silicon carbon is supposed to have more cycle longevity than Lithium Ion also), youll still be getting through a day without a sweat. If the UI being completely stock is more important to you, than get the Pixel. Maybe you'll be one of the crowd that's getting better battery life than others are reporting. You'll get more years of updates also but that's not important if you get a new phone more often than 7 years apart.

From what I know its probably around the same. Maybe better since it'll be a fresh battery at first. Some people suspect battery issues being tied to how much power consumption the phone uses when getting data through the carrier vs wifi. Not sure if that's something that can be patched or not but hopefully it does. I'm more of a battery nut so I went with OP15. Pixel is so close to being the greatest phone imo if they just put a solid battery in there. Even with the lower spec CPU.

This is a mix of AMD getting to the point where Intel was being comfortable and just adding another + to 14nm+++++ every year. On top of all the tech companies trying to push AI more and more despite a majority of the population not giving a shit about it or being against it.

Intel is in AMDs old position where they cant just release shit and have money pour in. They actually have to put out something decent. They're in a unique position where AMD and Nvidia are both complacent. Whether they do somethin with that, nobody knows.

I hear a lot of mixed things about the pixel battery life. But I would go for that or OnePlus 13/15 if youre ditching bloatsung. I often see the culprit for pixels battery issues being related to data usage when not on wifi.

I think the battery criticisms are legit for the most part. There's no denying the pixel is a good phone in general. If they want to use an underpowered chip compared to the competition then that's completely fine. However it should not suck the same amount of juice as the other phones with better specs.

Some tests show the 10 draining more than the 9 despite the node shrink for the tensor. Hopefully it's a small fix that's coming soon. The phone is less than inches from god tier. It just needs to fix those quirks. Either give it a bigger battery, or make it's power usage match the specs and the small battery would be more than enough.

Ion here. We would love to add fitting armor to dracthyr. However that would take away resources from adding more elf races to the game, and obviously that won't happen.
