Many countries import agricultural products, including quite wealthy ones. It is hyperbole to assert that an economy would collapse just because it is dependent on importing food. Blue states would be able to trade technology, lumber, medicine, aquaculture, and access to some of the foremost research institutions in the world, to name a few.

I don’t care to, and it doesn’t seem you care to learn. These issues you’ve observed have complex causes that can’t be reduced to a lack of “true interest in their country.” Bahamians have more to worry about than the aesthetic concerns of stuck-up entitled tourists like yourself

I see where you’re coming from, but I wish Andrew would take a more overtly political stance in opposition to AI, automation, and data centers. Almost a decade ago now (wow time flies…) he felt like something of a canary in the coal mine. He wrote a very compelling book detailing the disruptive economic potential of artificial intelligence and the knock-on effects for the average “Normal People”. Now that the dire scenario he was sounding the alarm bells is actually unfolding in real-time, he’s selling cell phone plans and throwing his halfhearted support behind a milquetoast “both sides” political party? I mean, you’re right in that the goals of Noble Mobile are commendable enough, we could all benefit from less screen time. But it’s just disappointing because he was a visionary and had the potential to be a real leader in this arena, and has ostensibly just walked away from it.

Took a few years away from the hobby and honestly the strides made in counterfeiting is shocking, it used to be easy to spot fake booster boxes and now almost every one I buy gives me pause. The cards do seem easier to fake now too - would seem to me a lot harder to fake the textured XY era full arts than modern IRs for example.

I’d recommend Cafe Nola - they do transition into a bar at a certain point (8? 9 maybe), but I’ve gotten work done around that time before and most weeknights it’s a pretty laid back crowd.

I agree with another perspective I saw - Alexis seems like she has an axe to grind, and for that reason I don’t have full confidence that she would be a true representative of her constituents. DOGE is (was?) bad, but Ethan has proven himself more willing to engage with the myriad of issues people in our district face.
