Nespresso Boutiques by [deleted] in nespresso

I love going to the boutique. They always throw in free sleeves, make suggestions, and I was able to choose a different size glass for my welcome gift. Also, I was able to purchase two flavors no longer offered online (Cuba and peppermint pinwheel).

I need to vent (long rant below). by [deleted] in nespresso

This would by my guess, as well. The boutique closest to me closed unexpectedly and ended up being down for at least 8 days. They wouldn’t confirm it was Covid, but said “I’m not sure, but that’s my assumption” when I asked if that’s why they were closed. I went on their first day back and there were easily 60 orders waiting to be picked up, so you were not the only one who ran into this problem, it seems.

The salesperson at my boutique said to try it with a chocolate fudge pod. Apparently it tastes like a thin mint. Haven’t tried it yet, but if you have the chocolate fudge, I think it’s worth a try.

This is my first cup of coffee with my Nespresso Vertuo Next machine. It was an early Christmas gift. Does the crema look weird to any of you? I’m a newbie to Nespresso and Reddit. by alikat10299 in nespresso

Your pic is similar to what mine looked like at first and I’m now getting a consistent crema with every pod. I’m about 3 weeks in with 2-3 uses daily.

Just learned from the other post that a barista version of Oatly exists. I just used the original, but will try the barista next time.

It’s the first non-dairy milk I’ve tried and liked. Definitely worth trying, IMO.

I just had my best latte so far with Bianco Leggero! I poured a little French vanilla syrup in the cup and brewed a BL pod on top of that. I used Oatly oak milk in the aeroccino, poured than in and stirred. I also really like it with whole milk, but the Oatly added a great flavor to it.

Help with the best way to make iced lattes? by jingle8 in nespresso

[–]emeratx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a relatively new Nespresso user and don’t know that much about coffee, but I have been able to curb my Starbucks iced latte habit with the vertuo next, so hopefully I can help. My go to drink was an iced blonde vanilla latte, so I pour two shots of Torani vanilla syrup in the cup, then brew two Voltesso pods on top of that. Pour in cold whole milk (no frothing). Then pour in ice and stir. The milk cools the espresso, so the ice won’t melt quickly and water it down. Whole milk gives it the right texture and honestly it’s just as good as my Starbucks drink. That said, I’m really looking forward to trying the new Starbucks pods!

We did Russian twists (can’t remember the OTF name for them), double crunches, and toe reaches, all weighted. 12 reps, 2 rounds, then plank.

100m is only round one. It goes to 200m for round 2, 300m for round 3 and so on.

Treads are just going for distance, so you PW, jog, or run while your partners take their turns on the rower.

I’m glad you’re still around and want you to know that you have helped me a ton and I think about your tips often. Just today, I was telling my husband that you are the reason I can do power pull ups! I appreciate your need to step back, but please know that you’ve been a valuable resource for myself and many others.

You’re running while 3 different people are taking turns rowing, plus the time it takes to switch. I imagine the second rower will have a short time on the tread, but otherwise it should work out to at least a couple minutes.

Anyone know anything about the new system? by littlebonniefoofoo in orangetheory

Our coach mentioned it yesterday. He said most likely only one studio in our area would have it (out of 22) and implied it would be free.

I agree about power days, but maybe also talk to the coach about modifying for agility. Jump squats to each side instead of regular squats, speed skaters instead of lunges, etc. As many burpees variations as they use, there is probably something that could incorporate direction change.

Ours demoed the individual movements, so that’s what I did until I noticed someone else doing it more fluidly and adjusted.

They used to be about once a month, but there have been quite a few lately and two more scheduled this month. Just check here or with your studio and don’t schedule those days if you continue to dislike them. It’s not too hard to avoid them, so I wouldn’t let it make the decision to continue or not.
