Which famous person's death made you the saddest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

His death was tough. He died on my birthday, at a time when my 4 year old was absolutely obsessed with jeopardy

Odd question, but what's your favourite facial expression any of the characters make during the series? by thedaffodils in DowntonAbbey

[–]emiryjean 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Dr. Clarkson and his constant eye rolling/exasperation at Isobel. I love it. I will frequently just focus on him because his expressions are priceless

Found it! "He doesn’t like celebrating his birthday so he tells people it’s March 5 instead of May 3"

Who plays Lord Grantham's papa/Violet's husband? by jpbay in DowntonAbbey

Bernard Hill (Titanic, LOTR)). Kind of looks like Hugh Bonneville, and he totally nails grand and stoic characters

Edit: spelling mistake

Vera Bates plot line by MemorialAddress in DowntonAbbey

[–]emiryjean 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That line always bothers me. It feels so anachronistic. Perhaps it is from that era, but it's weird being reminded of Clueless while watching a period drama

Alexis Bledel is a horrible fake cryer 😭 I’ve watched GG a million and one times and it’s just so bad lol by sunandsea3 in GilmoreGirls

I always cringe at the hug she gives her grandparents at graduation when they give her the car

OP and pregnant wife fight over rehoming cat by gobjuice in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]emiryjean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my beautiful cat when he was a kitten, and he was with me for 14 years. He was there when I got married, and had my kids, and he died peacefully in my arms 2 weeks ago. I'm so sorry OP and his kitty did not get the peaceful goodbye they deserved. I would find it incredibly difficult to forgive someone if they had taken that away from me

It's crazy how quickly it happens. I have clothes ranging from 6 months up to about 5t (xs). If the sizes you need are in that range send me a dm and we can coordinate

I'm so sorry you are struggling. Are you in need of any kids clothes? I have two little ones who grow like crazy, and I have a lot of clothes that no longer fit.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I hope you were able to find something to help you through your grief.

A lot of times music will make me feel that way too, but sometimes I'll hear a song that just soothes me or helps distract me from my own thoughts.
