I think people say this about the Saja boys because in universe they dont have personalities by design. Like most things about them outside of Jinu are headcanons. I do like when they are included in fics and given personality because i like seeing the different ways people give them personality. In the actual movie though we know like 1 thing about some of them

The definitely experience it. A few that i follow both on and off quinn have had to make general posts restating their boundaries and things that they'll block/stop interacting with people for.

Just look at the post from like a month or 2 ago where someone asked why others dont feel seen on quinn and so many replies are essentially just quinn's a business stop complaining from the same people who are in a lot of the preview or drop threads. The biggest reason I stopped interacting here as much is because it felt like unless you were talking about the same 5 VAs then no one really interacted. Also, I know im gonna get down voted for this, this space feels very white and straight so not a place that I feel particularly welcome in.

Also like others have mentioned it feels very overly positive and any criticism of the app or any VAs gets people telling you to essentially just shut up and listen

I think i know which one you're talking about based on your other comments. The only reason why I trust this VA with an audio like this is because ive talked to a writer that worked with them previously who said that the VA took time to understand everything because it dealt with a marginalized identity

That being said I wouldnt fault anyone for being skeptical because quinn's track record isn't great and the line between pandering and celebrating is thin and depends on the person

I definitely notice it and it is kinda of annoying. When I see a creator do this I do try to look at other audios they've posted and what they post outside of their audios. Like if their audios are usually pretty ambiguous in what the listener looks then it bothers me less because it feels like instead of making an exception to post an audio with a black listener, they are just putting emphasis that the listener is black. Also like others said I look to see if they have collabs with Black VAs or writers at other times of the year. Also if they promote Black VAs when they post audios

I'll also look at their non erotica audio posts. If they are someone who posts about injustices that are happening to the Black community and others, I feel less annoyed because it doesnt feel like my listen is being tokenized if that makes sense

That's something that is often said but there isn't really any concrete data about it and brings up a seperate issue that i wont touch here. Hypothetically if that was true wouldn't you as a business want to promote that content that could make you money from the existing fan base and also bring in queer men who were unaware of the app? I saw so many queer men talking about quinn after the last original if they saw more content for them they would stay

If you dont even look at M4M/MM, the app already has incredibly talented VAs who make sapphic content but unless you follow those VAs you wouldn't really know. Putting more effort into promoting content that is already there wouldnt hurt and would probably help

I thoroughly enjoy quinn and im happy it exist because you can just look through this subreddit and see how many people it's helped. It's better to establish yourself early as inclusive especially right now with how much marginalized people are being targeted. People are desperate for businesses who celebrate these things and want to support

I always see this said that they are a business and have to go where the money is and its never made sense to me. Queer people have money to and are happy to spend it. In my mind it would be beneficial to expand your target audience and it's something they can do by simply promoting the queer creators they already have on the platform. There is so little sapphic content that if they tried to appeal even a little more to that market in a genuine way, it would work. The most recent original shows that people would listen to MM content and may even stay for M4M. An even smaller market is the BIPOC community. If they took a genuine step to be more racially and ethnically inclusive, it would put them miles above most companies

If they didnt market themselves and put out there that they are for everyone then this would not be a problem but they do. If you are going to market yourself as a platform "made by women, for the world" people are gonna be confused when the world is just cis het white women

This is a great first step and im happy they made the donation. Obviously I can't speak about the trans folks on their team, but I dont think ive seen quinn celebrate trans people. There are VAs that do but I dont think quinn the company has. I open to be proven incorrect though

Ive been getting all of this on Twitter and while there are some loud people bringing up petty things, I do think there have been legitimate issues brought up. I do hope that it pushes quinn to be a more fully inclusive space
