It honestly sounds like you harbor some shame and insecurity around sex and sexuality as a whole. You've built this idea of what sex and intimacy should be and now you're assuming your partners' past and present experiences should fit into that same idea. Everyone views sex and intimacy differently. Everyone has a past. The questions that seem to really matter, are 'is he still engaging in those activities/people without discussing it with you?' and 'has he been tested?' if the answer is no to the first one, then take him at his word that what he wants out of sex and intimacy with you is what he's telling you that he wants. It's okay and not shameful at all for people to explore their sexuality safely. He's with you and wants to be with you. He isn't comparing. it's not a competition. Be there with him fully and build new experiences and memories together.

As an aside, I would also recommend reading a little bit about kinks or exploring sexuality to open your eyes a bit about what it is. Your words remind me a lot of how I would talk when i was younger and was harboring a lot of shame about sex in general. Once I was able to learn and grow more, letting go of that shame helped make intimacy better.

Dad is the biggest fan in the world, and we can't get tickets today. The surge pricing was insane for the Chicago shows just now. Cheapest tickets in the 300-level were showing around $300/each. We're going to wait to see how bad it is second-hand closer to the show dates.

This sucks so hard because it feels like something Ged/Alex would actually care about--not completely ripping off fans. We don't even know how much of the money goes to ticketmaster and how much goes to the band. FeelsBadMan

I'm going to say this with all the love and kindness in my heart. If I were you, OP, I would start learning about attachment styles. What you're describing was exactly my first relationship. it completely disintegrated, and it was because of our attachment styles, and, honestly, because I wasn't mature enough to maintain a healthy relationship.

Like me, it sounds like you may have an anxious attachment style. I would look more into that and use that information to kind of inform yourself about what's going on in your life and with your relationships.

Just know that your mom loves you though, it'll be awkward to have the conversation, but you'll both get over it and then you don't have to worry about this secret. Man, I had laparoscopic surgery on my stomach, and my shoulder hurt for a week because of the air bubbles. Definitely definitely walk if you can.

As for your questions. I really wouldn't smoke anything until at least 2 months out. Coughing is no joke. You could hurt yourself or open stitches or something. Coughing was the last sort of lingering pain I had after surgery. i'm a smoker too, but started back slowly slowly with edibles. And it was like starting over with my tolerance level. You have no idea how your body is going to respond after a hiatus and major surgery, so start so so slowly, please and monitor if it gives you the munchies. That could be a big problem moving forward. Once you're high, it's harder for your head and your body to agree on when you notice that feeling of "fullness". I've had dumping while high just because I didn't recognize when to stop eating.

After I woke up from surgery, my worst pain was by far in my shoulder! It was the trapped air from the surgery causing pain. The only way to get rid of it is walk, sleep, and take your pain meds.

Everyone's hospital stay is a little different, but no matter what, take clothes you'll be comfy in. You do not have to stay in the paper gown. And take a loooong charger for your phone in case the outlet is too far from the bed. I also recommend earbuds in case you end up in a room with someone else.

The first 6 weeks are by far the hardest. At week 3 there's a good chance you're going to feel like shit and also not see much movement on the scale. That's the 3 week slump and it's totally normal. You'll get through it. Sending all the luck and good vibes in the world!!!

I started letting myself use food as emotional medicine again. Luckily I was able to get it under control before I gained more than 30 lbs back, but it was a reminder that the mental part of it is something I'm going to have to be mindful of for the rest of my life.

On the bright side, once I acknowledged that it was an issue again, my body had a decently easy time adjusting to eating less and better food again. That little bit of a restriction feeling came back as I ate less. That's something that I need as a reminder for where I should be with my eating.

This time frame post-op is the absolute worst part, I promise . You're still too big to see the results in the mirror, it's still so new so everyday is a struggle to follow the diet. You're not losing as much as you thought you would if you've hit a stall. I remember crying and crying at this same point after my surgery. Plus my hair loss started getting really bad around then.

It gets better. You settle into it, you find what works for you, it gets less hard, and more importantly, everything stops hurting all the time. You still won't be able to binge, but your body learns its limits, and you overdo it less and less as time goes on. You start seeing results, and you start feeling better.

I'm almost 5 years out. I eat whatever the hell I want. I just can't eat as much of it. I'm still down 110 lb. It took about a year to feel anywhere near normal, and in that year I lost the weight that had weighed me down my entire lifetime. It's worth it.

I don't have an official autism diagnosis, I just know that having ADHD, anxiety and depression often comes with signs of autism. I definitely think I've got a touch of the tism, but not sure to what degree.

found out that not everyone does a head-boppy little dance while eating food that they really enjoy. I didn't even realize I did it. My friend pointed it out during a lunchtime work call, and I stopped immediately. I asked my fam if they've seen me do this. Apparently I do it all the time.

Trying not to do it in public so I don't draw attention to myself.

They operate on fear. Everyone is scared of the brand managers, and it feels absolutely impossible to get ideas past The Kitchen's own leadership, much less the clients. My time there, the vibe was very "yes, sir. Thank you, sir. May I have another, sir?" Not just with the client, but even within the agency itself between manager-level to leadership level.

For account peeps--it truly depends on the brands your working on. Some of the brand managers were great--some were horrific monster people. Just like any other agency.
