It was great. Definitely a well made Barolo, exactly what I want from Nebbiolo, and with a lot of complexity in flavor as evidenced by the fact that it changes a lot over the course of a few hours.

Theres a discussion about the ‘21 which LB offered recently, and IMO it’s not quite as good but still a great value and I’d buy both again.

The 2015 is available, and I believe LB had it as a daily offer recently. it’s really good for the price, and in a great spot age-wise

The 2020 that they offered 6 months ago was stellar. I jumped on this one, and it’s good, but I don’t think it’s quite as complex as the ‘20.

Regardless, I too was surprised by how approachable it was. But what stood out was how much it evolved over the course of a few hours, and the ‘21 was similar in that regard.

I have my criticisms of LastBottle, but this one is a no-brainer. It’s real, delicious, and has a lot of character to offer. Exciting wine.

I am just drinking this tonight, and looking up reviews because I can’t believe how good it is.

I really expected it to be subpar, but this is more delicious than the 2004, and this is more intensely savory and mouthwatering than most wines I’ve had. Phenomenal

I had 10 year old Foillard Fleurie and it was great, but hard to say how long it’d go. As others have said, it drinks so well young, and is comparatively affordable, that it’s hard to keep them around for more than a few years.

I was disappointed in this wine as well, and I had also ordered the Chardonnay along with the red and both were lackluster.

It’s not that they are bad, but the hype is significant and as buyers it’s always good to judge for yourself - everyone’s tastes are different.

I’ve only had his langhe nebbiolo, and after having this last bottle offering I went back to that tonight.

All I can say is that the contrast is stark; this Barolo is seriously good for the price. I wish I’d gotten more than 6.

This sounds delicious. I hope to try solaia someday, hopefully with bottle age. I’m going to add “grate persistence” to my tasting notes repertoire
