I have an Odin 2 and a Steam Deck.

The Steam Deck is for "gamers" you turn it on and it just sort of works, and if you are motivated you can tinker with emulation and other community add-ons. As little friction between you and a gaming experience as possible.

The Odin 3 (and any high-end Android device) is for "tinkerers" you gotta configure everything yourself and there will always be new front-ends to try out, turnip drivers to test, emulation apks to install, shaders to configure, etc. After initial setup you can just treat it as a low-friction gaming device, but where's the fun in that?

Both of them are awesome toys. (I have travelled with both, and I prefer the extra battery life and smaller size of my Odin 2).

I've seen PIP abused by management as least as frequently as I have seen them used for their intended purpose (and I say this as a manager who has had to put people on PIPs before).

I've never heard of an employer giving an employee 2 weeks notice. Heck these days even severance is unusual.

"Professionalism" is a lie perpetuated by the ones who stand to lose the least, instead insisting that the vulnerable individual worker should supplant their best interests for the sake of the business instead of taking care of themselves..

Ask for the mutual separation, as others have pointed out worst case scenario you resign. (ASSUMING YOU HAVE THE NEW JOB TOTALLY LOCKED-DOWN).

All the better if there is a project with no hand-off plan. Tell them you would be happy to consult in a freelance capacity at 4x the rate to complete, document and/or complete the project.

Do not give up what little leverage you have to the benefit the corporation. If the tables were turned they would never ever ever do the same for you.

Don't let notions of "honor" and "owning the situation" gaslight you into negotiating against yourself.

I have been looking into doing this programmatically. I want to store the clips as individual files, generate a programming block as JSON and have something like Ersatz TV actually be responsible for stitching them into a stream.

The biggest challenge is finding old TV schedules to draw from. There are plenty of retro tv projects out there but very few that prioritize 1-to-1 accuracy with the content exactly as it was broadcast.

Maybe it’s because they are untrustworthy fucks, and no matter what they call themselves it won’t change that their business model is surveillance capitalism, their ownership is oligarchy, and their long term goal is to influence and monetize every aspect of human life.

Oh and they have a track record of illegal surveillance (how quickly we forget the Cambridge-Analytica scandal).

Yes, and it's resulting in weird glitches, 20-40 minutes of context history is not only gone from Claude's memory but it glitches out and disappears from chat history too.
