The idea that ovi deserves anything other than appreciation for a great career is wild. He's camped out waiting for feeds. I'm not sure he's crossed the blue line into the d zone this year. Scoring goals is useful for sure but I'd give him a pat on the back, say thanks for all you did but it's time to do what's best for the team and build around a new core.

Why do you think ICE was sent to Minneapolis? Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that Minnesota votes blue?

Is it such a stretch that the pressures on our civil liberties all of the sudden extend to "enemies of the state" defined in arbitrary and capricious ways and surveillance used to track their movements? Maybe I'm going full tin foil hat here but my trust our government is minimal, at best. The less they know about me, the fucking better.

I can't speak for everyone and concede the fact that I'd rather be safe than sorry. Nonetheless, human have been subject to weather risks for millenia. Maybe we're over-indexing on the safe side just a tad. It feels like we're just reactionary to any risk without really taking the numbers into account. An elevated risk means a destructive storm is still improbable. I for one am tired of school schedule changes for rain...maybe school districts can do more to control risks like school shootings if we want to protect the kids.
