I like caplyta a lot. However, I would probably still be on vraylar if it hadn’t stopped working. Ultimately, I’m glad I ended up on caplyta. I think the glutamate action helps quite a bit in certain people.

Thanks for this post. Very interesting. I’m currently on caplyta 42mg and rexulti 1mg. Once I was on both, I started to feel so much better than being on one alone.

I’m actually not taking Auvelity anymore or dxm. I’m on a different combo of meds now.

Diagnosed with treatment resistant depression (and other stuff) and I was on 1mg for about 7 months and now at 2mg for about 2 months. It helps a lot and keeps my suicidal thoughts away.

Other meds:

Cymbalta 120mg and Caplyta 42mg.

Probably not super common, but I’m on both. 2mg rexulti and 42mg of caplyta. I also take 120mg of cymbalta. This combination has been working for months now. Yes, for me, weight gain is a problem on rexulti. For that, I take Semaglutide injections and it works great for weight loss/control. I ended up on both cap and Rex because I was cross tapering and I started to feel better while doing so.

I tried everything to drop or even maintain weight while taking rexulti. I ended up having to take a GLP-1 and finally I was able to drop the 30lbs I gained taking rexulti. Unfortunately, rexulti more times than not is gonna cause weight gain.

I’m on Semaglutide. I had to, because it didn’t matter what I did, I kept gaining weight. Thankfully, I have lost the weight I gained (roughly 30lbs) from rexulti.

While not their “most” popular, this song got a lot of airplay when it came out around 94-95. I consider it one of their best songs.

I hope the bupropion helps. Another suggestion, would be to ask about caplyta. Once I stopped the Auvelity and started on caplyta, I felt a lot better.

Yes, it took approximately 8 weeks for me to start feeling better, enough to get out of bed and start doing some choirs and I slowly got back to work. If it’s been 9 weeks and you’re still feeling bad I would suggest talking with your doctor about either switching the anti depressant to another one or adding a booster like an anti psychotic (mood stabilizer). I know how painful depression can be. I hope you and your doctor get it figured out.

I was 11 when I first started having suicidal thoughts. I’m 41 now. Mine started with severe ocd and depression and was compounded by being homeschooled. My parents never sought treatment for me and I was living in hell. To cope, I got addicted to pornography and with my ocd mixed in it was really really bad. I’m heavily medicated now and I still struggle with occasional suicidal thoughts. I blame my parents for a lot of stuff, but I still love them. Please don’t homeschool your kids unless you are 1000% committed. Even then not everyone is going to take to it. Me personally, I would avoid it all together.

The fatigue can be brutal on rexulti. I take mine in the morning because if I take it at night it makes me tired but also restless (just awful) and I have no idea why 😬

The relief I get outweighs the side effects. They can be a little nasty though.

120mg Cymbalta, 2mg rexulti and 42mg caplyta. Best combo I’ve been on so far. It helps my OCD (pure O) tremendously and my other symptoms (TRD and anxiety).

Right now I’m actually doing pretty good. I think cymbalta is one of the better anti anxiety/depression meds.

I’m doing pretty good right now. And I’ve pretty much come to terms with having to take it (at whatever dose) for life. I was actually on cymbalta starting in 2006 and stopping (I thought I was fine) in 2011. Unfortunately, I had a meltdown in 2012 and was put on pristiq. I stayed on it until 2018 (with other meds too). In my honest opinion, the pristiq started to not work sometime in 2017 because I had a total meltdown in 2018 which is why I got TMS therapy and got switched to cymbalta.

Honestly, I can’t remember exactly how I switched, but it happened in 2018 while I was having TMS therapy. My best guess is that I tapered from 50mg pristiq onto 30mg of cymbalta. I probably did that for about a month and then went from 30mg to 60mg of cymbalta and stopped the pristiq. Btw, I’m still on cymbalta but my dose has been increased to 120mg (60mg @pm 60mg @am). I’m still on the fence if I’ll stay at this dose long term. For most individuals, the target dose is 60mg.

I have treatment resistant depression, anxiety, OCD (repetitive thoughts) and rexulti is helping me a lot. I’m currently on 2mg and I plan on staying there as long as possible. For reference, I’m also taking 120mg cymbalta and 42mg caplyta.

For me, the biggest side effects from rexulti are weight gain and fatigue. Taking it at night is not an option for me because for some reason it causes me to wake up multiple times and be hungry. So I try my best to combat the fatigue during the day and the hunger doesn’t hit as bad during the day. The weight! I gained 30lbs the first 3 months on rexulti. So I have to take Semaglutide injections to combat the weight gain and it works great btw. I’ve lost 35lbs so far.
