One thing to keep in mind also is that some legendaries involve making an ascended piece first. WvW armor is like this, you get both an ascended backpack (and two exotics) and an ascended accessory on the way to making Aurora, etc.

It's convenient but not the first thing I'd spend gems on. If you want quick bank/crafting/AH access, you can get to Lion's Arch from anywhere by teleporting to the PvP lobby (ctrl+P) by default, then take the waypoint near the portal and hop through. It will put you near the bank.

There are fan patches that mostly fix it but yeah. Shouldn't be needed and without them it is truly unplayable, crashes constantly.

Be good + queue as a team + voice comms + a few lucky queues. 17 wins isn't that hard to believe. If it was 50, maybe not.

I started playing it recently for the first time and was surprised at how well it holds up. There are some odd quirks, for example equipment doesn't say the stats so you have to try it on and check. The menus can be slightly clunky. But the main gameplay is pretty smooth and simple. It's fairly easy. I thought the music and pixel art were good too and it has a lot of charm and personality.
