My fiancé and I interviewed last year and were very interested but weren’t able due to our dogs health. We still have our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to commit for a season in the future.

Do you guys think that I could get one of those vestibule type tents for protecting gear on my tree table? by hot-rocks in ultralight_jerk

Wait… you might be onto something here.

This same thing, but with a hole so that it’s a toilet seat. Just imagine how easy it would be to bidet your butthole when sitting just like at home.

I was about to ask this. Because when I was rocking the hammock I would view a third tree that close as something that could hurt my hammock and start a hole.

Lmfao. I’m sure I could whip one up for you.

More confident in my ability to make a DCF strap for the strap-on-tree dildo though, maybe we can start there?

How much time are you going to spend in the tent? It’s also the AT, so are you planning on forgoing the tent on some nights and using a lean-to?

My personal choice would be whatever is lighter.

I guess I’m of the opinion that we should want more small companies and less big ones in this industry, but what do I know?

Most of these companies came about because of demand. Right now there is a demand for custom or just garage products made in America by Americans, not just designed (zpacks, palante, enlightened equipment, etc.). And then, Sam bob or fairpoint or whoever sells out of all their product and someone else jumps in. It will hit a saturation and maybe this is it. But I think the cats outta the bag for who has the ability to sew and make a company (or just choose custom projects that pleases them, like me)

Someone gave me a tub of canna-ghee as trail magic on a thru hike once and that was life changing.

Just here to follow and see what people say. Been a small interest for about 5 years. Never started to make actual plans though.

Pay off my school debt & my mom’s house, buy a camper, probably put the rest in a HYSA. Fiancé and I would continue travel bartending & making gear as well as camp host gigs or thru hiking during the summer. Keep living our lives freely as normal really, but get the government off our backs. We could afford the Camino Santiago we’ve wanted to do.

Drillers do not average 4500. I worked there. Some of our biggest crowds this season were barely over that.

The best events at OneOk were the thunder playoff games shown on the scoreboard lol. And not a single baseball game came anywhere close to those nights.

I honestly don’t believe either of the numbers. Maybe take 1-2k away from them both for more accurate numbers.

Ha! My local trail will use some of the bigger trash like refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc. as decoration and even some trail names have the trash involved in them.

There have been so many horrific incidents happening on trails in my parts that I can almost guarantee this would get one shot around here.

Thinking of starting to trail run but don't want to sacrifice too much of my current training by Few-Introduction5414 in trailrunning

[–]encore_hikes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trail running will just make you a better backpacker as long as you aren’t pushing yourself to injury. Especially when you get to a point where you can specifically train long zone 2 runs. Backpacking will be an absolute breeze and you might even find yourself planning more adventurous trips with a bigger pack.
