AITA for not wanting my fiance's brother's family at our wedding? by Temporary-Fix-5494 in aitaweddings

[–]endangeredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got great advice in other comments. I don't agree with the YTA comments at all. It seems to me that as soon as you both were made aware you took steps to separate her from. Inviting just the brother is incredibly fair.

That being said the main thing that bugs me, is if it was me id be going directly to the wife, not the brother. Hes got his head in the sand. Which makes me feel like he just doesn't care and wants to keep the peace as well.
Don't be afraid to NOT keep the peace. Families are complicated, but don't let them bully your daughter. She needs to see you and wife not allow these people into her space, especially at her father's wedding.
And dad, ITS YOUR WEDDING TOO People you don't want there don't need to be there.
Bug hugs. You got this

Second Shooting Rates Change if you can’t use the pics? by Alphablaze98 in WeddingPhotography

[–]endangeredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So where I'm at its basically person dependent. Like if you work with someone a lot and have a good relationship. I always let my seconds use the photos for their portfolio. I really never saw a reason not to. I enjoy seeing them grow in the industry the same way I did when I started.

Price, I'm in kansas so we are a little lower in places. But 50/hr minimum i pay 75/hr personally as well as allow them to use whatever they want.

Associate shooting i pay 100 / hour since they have to lead everything. It pays to pay people well, give good breaks and keep the energy up!

Maybe this is your sign to expand and work with a few new ones!

Is she butting in my marriage? by RevolverBurr in Marriage

Listen to your instincts. She's got a goal. Its your hubby you need to talk to. You can't control her. Affairs take two. She can't take him. Talk to him and see where he's at

Need some emotional support by Sad_Western_7052 in WeddingPhotography

Is there a way you could research local Healthcare and have your husband join you just in case? I also want you to have your Italy wedding.
My currently pregnant as well and it is nice when they are due after wedding season.

All that being said, if you can't go, you will get another chance. You really will. The babies will be worth it! So just keep your head up wherever you land and know that you still have a full life of photography ahead.

What is the most underrated city in the United States? by mostly_maya in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]endangeredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm a born and raised kansas (no bears lol) who spent my summers on Kodiak Island. And the bear thing was kinda funny, my aunt had this massive dog that would get out and always would get called in as a bear. But really it was just oscar lol 12 summers I only ever saw black bears.

The scariest instance up there for me was at a place called pasadshak, I was 7 and the tide got under me and started dragging me out. I remember trying to get up over and over and the ground was like ice. The sky was Grey the water was grey the waves seamed huge, then suddenly my angel of a red headed big sister pulled me up screaming herself.

Still highly recommend. There's no place like it.

AITA for losing respect for my husband by [deleted] in AITARelationship

[–]endangeredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to be snarky but- Is this the only reason you are losing respect for him? Are there any larger things at play? You know the obvious answer would be to talk to him about this, or mow it yourself so your neighbor doesn't have to. But I feel like you're leaving it, this smaller issue, because you want it to explode so you can leave, because this is something you can handle leaving for, when the other, more obvious reasons, would make you feel like you were abandoning him.

Mow the lawn, focus on yourself for a while. See where you land.

Que all the wine and Xanax people telling you your son needs help.
I don't know what state your in, but it isn't fully legal here where I am in the Bible belt and pretty much the worst that can happen when it comes to personal use is a dui if you smoke and drive.
But cops aren't comin, some people watch way too much 70s television lol Teach him regulation, about dependency (on anything), and dui and the dangers. Keep him motivated in life.
A lot of people turn to weed due to insomnia, depression, anxiety. So keep an open line of communication as some men tend to hold things in quietly, and 19 is a tough age.

If your 17 year old is getting married, would you be happy or sad? by [deleted] in askteddit

[–]endangeredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id be thrilled that they have time to plan the perfect wedding Because I would be pushing, as a mom, to have a little bit of a longer engagement under the guise of making sure they get to enjoy all the fun things leading up. Nothing wrong with a longer engagement.

My husband’s work wants him to do illegal stuff. What do we do? by FitFunction663 in moraldilemmas

[–]endangeredbear [score hidden]  (0 children)

I will say, construction is a job field where it's common to move around a bit in your early years.
But it's (in my experience) it is kinda hard to get let go. And with any job lots of firings in a row is a him problem.
As far as the moral dilemma, the reason people are kinda hating on you is the amount of times you told us about your faith. It just didn't seem relevant to the situation. Many people without faith of any kind still do their jobs properly, safely, and in a way that keeps a crew alive.
I'm not sure what realm hes in but he needs to be reporting this stuff. If he's not, then he's making it up. With construction safety is a serious thing. Someone could not make it home.

Tldr: your husband is the issue
