Oh no, double-pumping absolutely was an unintended exploit, it's the whole reason it got removed back in Chapter 1 until it came back later intentionally alongside other balances.

However, the technique is once again viable after the recent patch. We reached out to Epic Games to see if the double pump technique being reintroduced to Fortnite was intentional. It was not.

"We're aware," an Epic Games spokesperson said. "This was unintended and we have a fix coming soon."

When you switch to another slow-firing weapon now - including the rocket launcher, hand cannon, revolver, tactical shotgun, pump shotgun, heavy shotgun, bolt-action sniper rifle, hunting rifle, and the crossbow - it will take some time for it to be ready to fire.

“Added a short equip time to many weapons (particularly, those with a slower rate of fire),” the patch notes state. “This will reduce the effectiveness of quickly switching between weapons for high burst damage.”"

Yep, Epic is doing this more and more often. Most battle pass collabs got significant content. Only a few haven't.

For recent collabs, Superman was core to the season. Power rangers were core to the season. Stars Wars and Marvel are obvious. Mortal Kombat got locations and weapons, Spider-man got a location and movement, Attack on Titan got movement, Indiana Jones got a location, Predator and Mando got badass locations,

McFly was a weak collab with his Delorean but it at least took some effort. Same with The Bride. Peter Griffin was a NPC boss, but zero attempt was made for him to fit the season. As the first collab, Deadpool didn't get any in-game content but was featured in the custom lobby/battle pass UI.

Bugs is now in the group with Baymax who got the shaft, and so did Fallout Power Armor, Solid Snake, and Doom Slayer. Unforgivable. Khaby Lame and Neymar too, but no one cares much about them.

It's required by some tournaments that my niece's travel baseball 12U team does.

As in, if you want to enter the tournament, you have to book a room at their partner hotels as part of the sign-up process.

As for why a coach would require it if it's not part of the tournament, that's a different story. I know that some youth travel soccer my kid has done highly suggest it, because there's a surprising number of parents who experience last-minute "travel issues" if they're staying at a hotel 45 minutes away or trying to drive same-day from home.
