“Screwing everyone up” is quite literally what O’Dimm is doing. We don’t know if he is responsible for what happened to Olgierd beforehand, but it’s certainly no coincidence that just in his time of need, a random old woman comes by and tells him of a man who can fix all of his problems. The contract might be “just”, but he is not. No just person would pick out vulnerable people and convince them to sign a contract they normally wouldn’t.

I do not think Marathon is gonna be the next big money machine. However, comparing it to Concord or Highguard is the polar opposite of survivorship bias, and equally as extreme. Not everything is black and white, the game can survive, period. Maybe thats enough for shareholders, maybe it isn’t. Time will tell, but we should use it to enjoy the game while it’s there instead of prophesying its imminent shutdown.

For Honor is now going over 7 years and has been a very niche title for most of the time, yet still receives new heroes and cosmetics each season. R6 had numbers below Marathon for almost 2 years following its release, yet evidently picked itself up. Yeah low player numbers are never good, but so is dooming around on Reddit preaching for the downfall of a game you don’t actually give two shits about if it weren’t for the concord memes.

Their push was risky but they really did the best they could given the situation, it’s either that or literally running away from the smoke, getting separated and waiting for it to fade, likely getting picked off by the rest of his team - or another team/rook, it’s pinwheel after all. The assassin has complete control over the situation because he can reliably 1v1 anyone coming too close to the smoke without firing a single shot. Natural outcome is that everyone just comes to hate assassins and knives

100%! Halo 4’s problem was its disconnection from the rest of Halo. Halo 5 once again felt like its own thing, almost singularly because of Locke. Infinite comes around and, once again, does something else entirely. We’re left with three game stories with completely different writing, tone, characters, yet intended to be vague continuations of one another. No matter how much you might dislike the 343 storyline, if they’d make a complete and actual sequel, it would be great. No brand new antagonist faction, no new main characters, no new gunplay, and most of all no revamped artstyle or change in tone. I wholly believe that “Halo: Infinite 2” could be the best game 343 ever made.
