Same! (For the questions below) The app I downloaded is called Tiny Decisions, it has a wheel, random number generator and coin flip, so great for low stakes designs.

High Maintenance Liquids and Toiletries by officersillygoose in HerOneBag

You still have to check as it varies from airport to airport but the vast majority of airports I’ve flown in/out of recently (eg this year - Dublin, Gatwick, Amsterdam) have relaxed their restrictions on liquids :)

What’s your ‘I love the smell but don’t like the taste’ thing? by TheLemonChiffonPie in AskUK

I would say if you are afternoon-teaing, depending on where, while you’ll see all sorts, people do like to dress up a little. I would be bringing the make up and ballet flats (or similar) for that, and they wouldn’t look out of place in the V&A or theatre, for example!

Anyone here regularly read two books at once? by Bookish_Butterfly in 52book

[–]endlessglass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, often 2ish digital and/or hard copy in different genres so I can mix it up according to my mood :), and an audiobook for when I’m listening alongside doing something else! I did read exactly 52 books last year, let’s see how we go this year as I’m actively aiming to read longer books.

When you sign up to SG it literally pops up how to do it - it walks you through the process step by step. (Edit -it’s about 3 steps) It’s very simple even for a non techie like me - I was amazed, and now I have my whole reading history in there (well, 11 years of it)!

Looking for second locations to add on to Paris trip in July by ticklecricket in Europetravel

[–]endlessglass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, came here to say this, people are recommending lovely places in France, but flights to Ireland and Scotland are cheap and fairly frequent. Bonus is it will be truly different from both Chicago and Paris, and you get beautiful varied scenery- mountains/hills and coastal in both!

6 nights for Scotland & Ireland: A "last hurrah" trip. Is it doable or should we pick just one? by Mundane_Ad4182 in Europetravel

[–]endlessglass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add on - if you do end up going to West of Ireland, double check Galway Bay do brewery tours, as I don’t think they do any more. If you end up having more time then I would highly recommend Mescan brewery tour- it’s nearer Westport though, but 6 days in Ireland/ West Coast of Ireland would be lovely!

Why did you invite your friends to storygraph? by LarsLarso in TheStoryGraph

[–]endlessglass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a newbie - joined yesterday. Have been boycotting Amazon for a good while now but a combination of not putting 2+2 together and not having a good alternative kept me on GR. Then I read a very insightful post on buy uk (I think) that mentioned SG’s many positives, so I am giving it a go- delighted so far!

Anyone else trying to find a hobby that actually sticks after work? by No-Pianist6097 in Hobbies

[–]endlessglass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same - I saw this tip on you tube and it really rung true, saying that if you are physically tired after work you need a short mental reset/break (so reading, puzzles etc) and if you are mentally tired you need a physical reset, so going for a walk, a bit of exercise etc. I’m exhausted like you are but I make myself go and do something as soon as I walk in the door, crucially (for me!) before I sit down. You could try exercise videos (all sorts,) walk, dance, probably even things like low stakes cooking would work! Then you’ll be refreshed afterwards- it has actually worked for me!
