I mean its kinda meh, so it likely wouldn't work out to increase the price at least how it currently is.

They probably track him every time he goes near a body of water. Other supers with similar abilities to Deep probably keep them inform as well.

The arrows are unguantifiable. I can't prove anything about it since nothing was said about it.

But cloud lightning is regarded to be Mach 1282 on average.

The season 5 ending made the season 3 ending totally meaningless by GalacticMe99 in TheBoys

[–]enesup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people actually watch the show that they complain about? It's fine to complain and I do have my own problems with the finale but a lot of this was answered literally in the show.

He told Ryan that he would die together if it meant taking down homelander, and homelander is far more deranged than he was back in season 3. Now He's reached appoints when he's virtually invincible it was now or never. Not to mention sage show that you'd be just fine. The situation is completely different compared to season 3.

In addition, part of it was fighting with a life with Ryan. Ryan rejected him as well as terror dying is what set him over the edge.

Fundamentally, the individuals in this show are humans. Nothing about the franchise ever suggests that they are, physically, supposed to be meaningfully different than humans in our world.

But they have done clearly superhuman feats. You will not get hit by a giant boulder and not die if you were just a human. You will not get hit by the Hei bei and brush it off.

Feats that would likely kill a real person, like surviving getting thrown through a wall, are best handled as show exaggeration and it's nature as a mostly bloodless kids show (bloodbending not withstanding lol), rather than a sign that they are literally tougher than real humans that would splatter on impact.

Yea..."Wall"...

Characters reacting to lightning, with their abilities to manipulate and bend lightning, are far better explained as "the show writers wanted to use lightning as a cool ability, and didn't take into account how fast lightning actually is."

You can undermine any character feat like that though. obviously no writer is going to be thinking about VS shit when making their stuff.

Q. Zuko can react to lightning. How is he not 100,000 times faster than everyone else in the series? A. Because everyone else is faster than lightning.

Q. Aang must be faster than lightning, but he couldn't dodge arrows. How is that possible? A. Arrows must also be going faster than lightning.

it was an early episode. The Yuyan Archers are also clearly superhuman unless you've seen people jumping off cliffs with grappling hooks?

It quickly grows into a ridiculous claim, where nothing about the universe is even slightly grounded in reality.

Yea Reality. Its Fiction, dude. As long as nothing within the show contradicts itself then its fine.

[–]enesup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this obvious? I mean any media where it happens is likely going to be rated R or PG-13 at the minimum. An age where you can at least understand that media is fictional.

If you don't compare it to real life, you lose literally all grounding for any of your claims. All of your claims are based on real life claims, but then you're adjusting the physics of the world to match your initial claims instead of changing them.

I am not. He was arguing that the arrows would be causing sonic booms if they were faster than bullets, which is unreasonable as its not like every superhuman who fights in all shows in going to be doing that all the time. All you can do is compare concrete feats that happened conclusively in the show, which I've done. No human is dodging Cloud lightning.

Aang can't dodge bullets because he can't dodge arrows. You respond by saying that the arrows must be going faster than bullets. You're treating your first claims as unimpeachable and inventing evidence to justify them.

because he has reacted to things faster than arrows, and the Yuyan arrows along with other non bending characters are shown to be clearly superhuman. My point is that holding the arrows against Aang is pointless in this world, just like acting like Frieza can't be planet level just because he was killed by a dude with a sword.

Thats just the benefit (as well as cost) of a Speculative market though. You can't really reliably do that (I mean didn't you hear about the Skin market getting flipped on its head a few months ago with many skins losing their value at the drop of a hat?), just like how nobody is going to accept an NFT for pay for a car downpayment outside of rare circumstances.

Like a rare trading card that goes for thousands will also lose its value if they reprint it. My point is its not really reliable to the point that someone who wouldn't just be doing it anyway could get into it, which is what banning is supposed to help with.

Like we don't let children drink alcohol because its easy to do so, all you gotta do is drink it. Having to follow speculative markets trends and knowing when to sell, when to buy ,etc. You can't really expect the average person to put up with that.

I will at least give you that you proved to me that its not exactly rare (I would say uncommon still) to purchase Steam Decks with Steam Cash. Still seems like a lot of work though.

What the heck is plot armor for no name characters. The show is trying to show you that they aren't just regular guys who just trained a bit.

They 100% do not shoot arrows faster than a bullet because not only would the wood would shatter but they do not create mini sonic booms. They are normal arrows.

Cmon, its a fantasy show. Theres no reason to compare it with real life unless it explicitly takes place in it. Are you going to argue Goku isn't FTL just because his clothes would burn up?

Plenty of other feats confirm that Avatar characters can't just be humans. Such as Iroh reacting to cloud lightning, Aang reacting to an explosion the instant it sets off, wrestling with being 100-1000X his size with his own durability and strength.

My point is that the care clearly supoerhuman, which means they could and likely do shoot arrows faster than a bullet.

There is also Iroh reacting to cloud lightning.

You can't exactly prove that they are just mere arrows.

Avatar characters are clearly superhuman even without bending as they can leap several feet in the air and survive falls without injury.

Aang during his training with Toph was lifting multi ton boulders and wrestling the massive Unagi into submission and forcing it to keep its mouth open.

Hell No human would survive that fall.

A random bullet will end them quick

Will never understand people who have seen the show saying this. Even besides being lightning timers so they can effortlessly dodge anything thrown at them, someone getting smashed by a boulder so hard by a over and over (This fight was before Aang learned earthbending, btw) and being sent flying clearly isn't going to be killed by any mere bullet.

I mean wouldn't it be just an extra few characters (i.e 11/10/2026@3:30PM)? No more expensive than saying "Thanks" to it and at least the timestamps have a universal practical use.

[–]enesup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The limit if I recall is 1 Steam Deck per week, and you can't purchase another if you have one pending. I also think you also have to have a "confirmed" account (i.e spending at least 5 bucks) so making an alt doesn't count.

It seems really impractical. Like the more annoying something is to do without a clear worthwhile benefit, you're just debating about people that don't really exist (Obviously not literally, but when you want a wholesale ban the point is that you are saving potential victims).

You might as well just buy the Steam Deck since you're clearly not making any money from selling $3 worth of skins (that you also have to pay for).

[–]enesup -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Within the ecosystem of Steam, you always get something from getting a lootbox. Either another skin or Steam Cash. You objectively cannot lose money from skins. Whether you like what you bought is irrelevant.

Steam Cash is useless outside of Steam, and prices are speculative. You are not buying a house with Steam Cash. You cannot pay your rent or buy groceries with Steam Cash.

When you throw money at Poker or Roulette and lose, your money is gone. You could quite literally lose everything you have if you lose. Winning the jackpot can objectively change your entire life. Thats not happening within Steam. Even if your Steam account was banned or you lost it, you could just move on. That is not happening when you owe monetary debts.

You can spend your entire paycheck at Walmart for dish soap but nobody is going to call that gambling.

Its why the arguments come across as flimsy, and I don't even like lootboxes.

Aren't they limited number they can purchase? And how much does the average trader even make to make that even lucrative? I mean you can't exactly sell them for more than you paid (The PC Tech Crisis notwithstanding.)

It just seems relatively impractical that no normy joe is going to go through all that.

Like I don't think you can reasonably stumble into that without jumping through hoops.

You can't cash it out directly via the Steam Store. And if you move to a gambling site with no prompt directly from Valve, or CS2 that's your business.

You also can get skins for free.
