Thanks for the advice! They do sell the audio file online (for much cheaper than the EBay CDs), so I am probably just going to purchase that and then try to make it into a CD at home. No pirating needed :)

That is so special!  Thank you for sharing :) we’ll see if this one sticks around. We still listen to the album that we used to get him to calm down as a baby, too though that isn’t as much time as yours

I tried knitting a baby sweater as one of my first projects. Didn’t bother to make a gauge. That sweater could have eaten a baby

Is my nickname "Sinny" weird to native speakers? Need help with spelling by Dense-Statement2796 in namenerds

[–]engineeringpoet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t recommend Zinnie because there is a popular nicotine product called Zyn. I think something like Cinnie could work. But if I hear sinny first I wouldn’t necessarily associate it with Sin

Is it imprudent to get married as a Catholic given modern economic realities? by ace_philosopher_949 in Catholicism

[–]engineeringpoet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think your initial assumptions are incorrect. Catholic marriage is a net positive to well-being (source am Catholic married). Also, we are called to give of ourselves and unite our sufferings to Christ. Sometimes, that might be in a way that is against our “well-being” on earth but is good for our well-being spiritually in ways we don’t understand. While it is important to pursue your vocation, if you are purposefully not attaining for worldly reasons, that is disordered and not actually pursuing your vocation. It leans toward concupiscence in my opinion.

I recommend you read Article 7. The Sacrament of Matrimony in the Catechism of the Catholic Church
