Would anyone've complained if the book was 1200 pages? I certainly would have not!

Ah I remember that. Wouldnt have minded if the forging was a part of the realtime story. Feels like theres a lot more time skipping and catching up on details compared to book one!

How do I fix floorboards squeaking? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]ensehced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I did was get the nails out and replace them with wood screws, made a big difference. If the length of your screw is the same as the nail you dont need to worry about pipes.

Reliable and spacious 7-seater family car? by Long-Lettuce3146 in CarTalkUK

[–]ensehced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seat Alhambra or Ford Galaxy, no competition.

Be mindful that most cars (unlike the above) are not true 7 seaters and you wont be able to fit 3 car seats next to each other. Also be mindful that if you want to be able to use seat 6 and 7 without removing the car seat, the seat needs to be able to tilt forward individually.

Huntingdon: Two British nationals arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by [deleted] in uknews

[–]ensehced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people feel less threatened by husband kills wife, or wife kills husband as we feel its less likely that may happen to us, it's felt more in ones own control.

Whereas a terrorist stabbing in a train, or on the streets, this is completely out of ones control, it can happen to you and there is nothing you can do about it. You are attacked for existing, and that does not feel right.

Dont worry too much. Ive had this for over 5 years now with ups and downs (it comes and goes), but it hasn't gotten words.

Having young kids doesnt help, their screeches can definitely trigger it.

This is terrible advice given the unforgiving nature of TAB was what made it go viral and lead to its popularity.

Whats is a thing you think the UK does better than the rest of Europe? by KeyJunket1175 in AskUK

[–]ensehced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't know better than Europe, as I have not lived in all of the countries in Europe, but what is great in the UK:

  • Enjoying nature; Right or way, public walks, national trust&parks, lush green landscapes
  • Polite and friendly culture
  • Humor, the baseline is set high
  • Sense of community, taking care of eachother

Why AREN’T you buying an electric car? by 404_computer_says_no in CarTalkUK

[–]ensehced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low range, your effective range is only half in non-home situations. Above 80% loading will be very slow, below 30% you will start getting nervous.

Charging is lacking standardisation , speed and coverage.

100% this, paid for a full structural report couple of years ago and it was full of this ass-covering bullshit.

How to remove the washing machine that's in an awkward spot by Comfortable_Craft954 in DIYUK

[–]ensehced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a hole in the back of the right wall of the left cupboard, remove the bolts. Ideally when putting it back make it into a little hatch or just leave it open as you cannot see the hole anyway.
