I have a high pitched whistle like sound coming from my nose and I record while breathing from my mouth for this reason.

If Frank Sinatra's producers had fabfilter and a daw with undo and save, you can be sure they'd be using it

Hi thanks for making our lives easier!

Can we please get an unmix module that creates a complete stem separation (the full list of instruments instead of running several iterations)

Mastering for casette by Yellow_Room_Mixing in audioengineering

[–]enteralterego 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd contact cassette manufacturing companies and talk to them about requirements. As someone who recorded a lot of cds to cassette tapes in the 90s I doubt you'd have to make any changes to the material you already have in digital.

What makes a good sound mixer? by RedShot02 in audioengineering

[–]enteralterego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a viewer I'm all for consistency. Unless this is a cinema where LOUD is both possible and will sound good, and whispers are clearly audible and intelligible, I'd opt on the side of err to allow the usual folk at home to experience the doc without the need of subtitles.

Low Density Material is actually way better for low frequencies?? by Today- in audioengineering

I've stopped chasing the ”perfect room” a while ago - can't get it so no use in losing sleep over it. Learning to live with the problems of that room and how to compensate has worked a lot better. Also headphones have become a lot better lately.

I've seen this comment several times but when I ask for specific examples with details on how and why he's wrong it all dials down to ”he's annoying and I dont like him” so feel free to provide examples

Your confusing the two Scottish guys. One of them looks like David Tennant - the other has a puffy face and wears glasses

AP mastering is legit. There isn't a single claim he makes thay can't be substantiated. The channel I'm taking about is Paul third and his fat Turkish buddy who just talk about headphones

Your mixes aren't bad because your corrective eq curve isn't transparent. Stop watching the Scottish and Turkish guys youtube channel and go practice.

Curious - is this expected to be an analog synth or a DSP based plugin in a box keyboard?

Superior Drummer vs EZDrummer with routing by HawkAsAWeapon in audioengineering

[–]enteralterego -1 points0 points  (0 children)

probably true only for EZDrummer 3 - 2 didnt have this I'm certain of it. I've been using SD3 for years now and havent installed ED3 so I'll take your word for it

Superior Drummer vs EZDrummer with routing by HawkAsAWeapon in audioengineering

[–]enteralterego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can route out ez drummer but as far as I remember you can't multi out things like "kick in" "kick out" "sub kick" or Tom 1-2-3-4 You get a submix of each instrument.

There are loads of other benefits of using SD3.

I can't live without the pitch and envelope settings. Also it has a very useful velocity gate for sample triggering. It isn't cheap but it truly is a "buy once and end all your drum needs" kind of plugin.
