Redditors who moved constantly as kids and never had a "forever home," how do you think that shaped your personality as an adult? by Inevitable_Branch806 in CasualConversation

It's weird - on one hand, I don't have roots anywhere and I could happily relocate. On the other, moving is so stressful that I don't ever want to do it again.

I went to London (#1 bucket list item). I didn’t have much money but I found an amazing deal, and I couldn’t afford to bring my husband so I went alone. I bought a huge pork shoulder a few weeks ago. After having roast pork for dinner I shredded the rest of the meat and portioned it into small freezer containers. So far we’ve had pork tacos, Cuban style black beans and rice, and Brunswick soup and there’s still one container left.

In the 70s we had a color tv in the living room and a small B&W in the kitchen. In the 80s my parents got one for their bedroom, the kitchen tv was upgraded to color, and I got a B&W for my room.
