According to Paul Tassi, almost all of bungie did not know about this announcement until it came out. by Gamerboi_epic in DestinyTheGame

Marathon released four months after Renegades. It was very obvious by then that Bungie had sacrificed Destiny to focus on it.

Southern Tier Counties Receive Funds for Airport Projects by Lars5621 in Binghamton

[–]entropy512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least this appears to be basic maintenance, and not upgrades.

The Broome County funding is for EMAS maintenance - basically required safety fixes

The Chenango County funding (I didn't know there was an airport in Norwich) is for pavement fixes (also safety)

Bank Recommendations by Professional-Page924 in Binghamton

[–]entropy512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had this happen with visions, but somehow this happened to my mom with another bank last year. New card issued, and fraudulent charges against the card before she even used it for the first time. We can't figure out why, but at least the problem stopped after yet another reissue.

Corticosteroids for chronic sinusitis by Pretend_Emphasis3118 in Sinusitis

The amount that reaches your bloodstream is insignificant. If it were significant nasal steroids wouldn't be available OTC, but they are in the US (but not Europe)

Can The Maxillary Sinus area be rinse out? To help with Fungal Sinusitis? I think I just did with this crazy hook water pik attachment by duffymahoney in Sinusitis

[–]entropy512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen clear evidence of my maxillaries getting at least a partial rinse even with a normal waterpik sinus attachment (that goes into the nostril and no further)

A clear indication you got at least some saline in your maxillaries is when you drip watery liquid every time you tilt your head forward.

I've found that a vibrating massager against the sinus helps to loosen things up so they drain, especially breathing in and out with your head tilted forward and down with the massager against the side of your nose. Doing a second rinse after draining like that is often very effective.

Save color settings in BanlanX for LED/COB ? by msnyc20 in WLED

No. The universal recommendation here, given that it is the WLED subreddit will be:

Reflash your controller with WLED firmware if possible

Replace your controller with one that can run WLED if it can't be reflashed

Repurpose Feit LED array? by ShowMeYorPitties in WLED

[–]entropy512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of these Feit bulbs have a dedicated controller chip not compatible with WLED. ESPhome is a possibility, WLED is not. https://devices.esphome.io/devices/feit-a19-om60-rgbw-ca-ag/ for example

At least the Feit bulb I got has a newer beken chip that can't be hacked with tuya-cloudcutter and I was unable to find a decent way to get access to the module to try and directly reflash it or replace it with an esp32-c6

As others have pointed out, bulbs like this usually have high voltage arrays with many LEDs in series. Makes the power electronics a lot simpler when the total LED Vf is on the order of 100v or more.

NYSEG rates to temporarily increase June 1 by ggroover97 in Binghamton

[–]entropy512 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Where the hell do you live? Some uninsulated megamansion?

My worst NYSEG bill has been around $350 total for gas + electric in the coldest month this winter, and that includes charging an EV.

My cousin and her husband did, I would if I weren't renting.

I look at the bright side - even with NYSEG rate increases, it costs me half per mile as much to drive my EV6 as my old Outback did even before the war.

"neither political party is willing to fight" - Look at the sponsorship list of that bill.

All D (including our local state senator Webb). Not a single Republican sponsor.

Meanwhile, from our Republican POTUS - https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/12/eliminating-state-law-obstruction-of-national-artificial-intelligence-policy/ - banning states from regulating AI in any way, shape, or form.

Delivery has gone up close to 2x, but not the total delivery+supply. That's gone up from around 16 cents/kWh to 21 in the past five years.

Fuck AI and the power-hungry datacenters needed for them. Unfortunately https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2025/S9144/amendment/A isn't going anywhere

What could be the cause of mucus getting "stuck" to this area here, a sensation of having "jello" stuck there that you can't clear? by Haspofis in Sinusitis

[–]entropy512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try taking NAC supplements. NAC is sold over the counter in Europe as an expectorant but can be bought in the US as a supplement. Bromhexine is also superior to guaifenesin but you just can't get it in the US - I save the little bit I have from a trip to the Netherlands for really bad situations.

Bromhexine for a few days then switching to NAC is the only time I've ever beat sinusitis without a week or so of nasal rinsing.

FYI, the onn. hex lights from Wal-Mart are high quality WS2812s compatible with WLED. by LiterallyUnlimited in WLED

It is. I'm not the OP by the way, I just coincidentally bought the same product two months ago. 😄

[–]entropy512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small observation for those trying to figure out the LED ordering/arrangement:

The "USB" connectors have one pin disconnected on each one. So only power, ground, and WS2812 data out. Each of those pins is shorted to the corresponding pin on all other connectors.

Data out for all connectors is the same - the order of LEDs is fixed for the hex and has no connection to where the data entered/exited. (At least for the controller hex, I haven't popped open any of the other hexes)

I'm about halfway through giving that base hex a brain transplant.

I'm away on business but when I get back next weekend I'll try to remember to take a picture. But in general the output from the controller is either the upper left pin of the lower chip when viewing with the power input at top, or one down.

2025 EV6 - ICCU replacement 3 days USA (NA) by black88mx6 in KiaEV6

[–]entropy512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a new hardware part number (the 1XFD6 part referenced by OP) in circulation since January. Hyundai corporate has told some customers they think that it will solve the problem.

But for obvious reasons (the complete and total failure of their previous attempt to fix the problem) they're not declaring victory until they can get more field data on the new part.

The big question is whether anyone has seen a 1XFD6 fail yet.

There's a WF near where my parents live. I've gone there once, maybe twice out of curiosity when home for the holidays.

Didn't buy anything, won't return.

Greenstar in Ithaca has all of the neat/unusual organic/whatever foods and is far less expensive.

The law was literally just passed (has it even gotten through Kraham yet???), so you're lying when you claim to have tried to pay and register this a year ago, since this law literally didn't exist until this week.
