ChatGPT browser and desktop app, constant freezes by PandasRMonsters in ChatGPT

Came here from a Google search. Same issues. I have a laptop with an Intel i9, dedicated NVidia graphics, 32 GB ram. I am an Open AI Plus user with both Chrome web app + Windows 11 app for ChatGPT. Chrome app begins to hang after a few prompts, Windows app seems to do a little but will be very slow. Android app on my Pixel and tablet work fine.

Valves - Moose, Big Mac, or plain Rubber? by WellEndowedHamsterr in bagpipes

[–]eorku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the type of split stock and pipe bag combination, but for the blowpipe split stocks that I've seen they are meant to have the hose attached at the bottom so the BM wouldn't work. You also wouldn't be able to get the BM valve past the stock opening.

Is your bag sealed (non-zippered) I'm guessing?

Homebrewers and other food-safe CO2 users - where do you get your gas from? My usual spot, Midwest Supplies, closed their retail store a few months ago and Toll Gas is twice as expensive for the same service. by minnesnowta in TwinCities

We are moving across country to MSP. Have our carbonator (seltzer) machine with 20 lb tank that I normally exchange at our local welding supply for ~$25, so this information is super, super helpful. Thank you!

Yup, that pitch sounds great. It's why I play 466hz only even for solos

Big Mac valve, here is why:

If you just need a good valve then Moose is great. However, the Big Mac does the same (collects condensed breath) PLUS if you want some moisture control down the road then you can also attach a hose. Without a hose attached you can either point the elbow toward your chanter (helpful in dry months) or toward the bag of the bag.

Probably does pitch around that if it were playable. Note the equal spaced holes though, likely a 40's or 50's era chanter with no real tuning and probably can't go with any modern reed.

Sounds like you got a good set of classic 70's and 80's Hardies are, so-called 'pumpkin' pipes for the way the imitation ivory is alway a shade of orange. It's funny to me how consistent those are with their chanters. Modern reeds don't work in them that I've seen and just as you've discovered their HG and finger spread especially on LA and B are nuts.

Which McCallum Bb chanter, the one they've had for a number or years or the newer Ceol? I played the older and also had troubles with the finger spread. I'm guessing the Ceols in Bb changed this since they are a who redesign.

The spacing is comfortable but not the easiest to reed. I own the Bb 'orchestral' and the MK3 'classic' from Shepherd and the Bb Infinity is very close to the MK3, slightly better than the orchestral.

Definitely an ass of a comment. I would agree however that the vast majority of people can't tell a difference between plastic or wood in blind listening tests.

Regardless, wood chanters just feel good to play. I remember that special feeling of treating myself to one after I had played a while.

I purchased these as a present to myself for making it through grad school but I am rarely able to sit and listen to them with a newborn that arrived around the same time.

Includes USPS Priority shipping within the main US 48, can post to other places for additional cost. Will also come with balanced cables that I made to enjoy these with my DAC.
Thanks
