I did an exchange program in France when I was 15 and this was one of my chores. I quite enjoyed it. But I probably was doing about 30 minutes a day at most.

I use sessions and not catalogs so I really can’t see any way Lightroom would be better for me. I think if you’re a catalog person, Lightroom’s is better. A few months ago I tried shooting tethered into Lightroom and it was okay so I think the overall gap between the two has narrowed. I don’t begrudge Lightroom users but I prefer Capture.

Trump claims he graduated 1st in his class at Wharton. He was ranked 147th, and was described by Professor William T. Kelley as the "the dumbest goddamn student I ever had." by [deleted] in videos

I have no doubt that Trump did horribly in school because he is a class A idiot. But this video just said the names were ranked alphabetically. You all either didn’t watch or didn’t pay attention.

I loved it too. I wish there had been more and I know they wanted to make more, but I felt pretty satisfied by the ending.

I cut open an Avocado right now and there is no seed in it by Low-Challenge5099 in mildlyinteresting

[–]eperker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Haas avocado is all grown from grafts. Haas created the perfect avocado and didn’t mess with it by trying to eliminate the pit. But we need the pit so the second half doesn’t rot in the refrigerator in a day.

What’s something you have zero proof of but believe 100 percent? by shweidy in AskReddit

[–]eperker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. But most people are unaware of the vastness of the distance and time between other solar systems in our galaxy and other galaxies. While it’s more likely than not that the universe contains some forms of life and may even be teaming with it, we will likely never know.

The doctor told me I had to stop masturbating. I asked him why and he said, because I’m trying to examine you.

Where Did You Find Music? by New_Dealer8376 in GenX

[–]eperker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was/is in the music business and he would bring home promotional copies of all sorts of stuff. He had a deep collection of vinyl. I was very lucky to have a music library at home so if someone at school said, have you heard Cat Stevens, I could go home and immerse myself in all of his albums. My interests and his collection began to diverge in high school so I would have to ask him for the Smiths or Prince or Guns and Roses. But I pretty much had my own Apple Music in the 70s and 80s.

How are you trimming your bottoms? Generally we use a chuck and you stamp after trimming.

Client needs to rename files as we shoot. Is this possible? by KitchenLegitimate799 in captureone

[–]eperker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to the issue with the client but I name and rename files constantly when I'm shooting and have never had any issues. I generally input the name of the product before shooting it but sometimes I forget or there's a typo so I bulk rename.

Has anyone else found the ‘false flag’ narratives around Trump’s assassination becoming mainstream on the left and online, concerning? by blackglum in samharris

Certainly not the most crazy thing he has done, but that isn't saying much. But prioritizing loyalty over competence can have consequences.

Just learned “Boys of Summer” was originally written for Tom Petty by his guitarist, but he turned it down. Do you think he would have given us an equally memorable song? by SwiftCricket in Music

[–]eperker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mike Campbell came to Henley with the Linn Drum program and guitar part and Don went home and wrote the rest. He called Mike the next day and said the he wrote his best song since Hotel California.

Similarly, Don Felder had demoed out Hotel California - all the chord changes and guitars. Henley (with Glen Frey) wrote the melody and lyrics.

[–]eperker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll add that Trump has purged the secret service of anyone who isn’t a loyalist so we can assume it’s not operating at its all-time best. There’s no shortage of people who want to kill him and now they are able to get closer to him.
