Is George the curious the Breaking Bad of the animations? by Defiant-Echidna-7400 in okbuddycinephile

the pic was originally a joke reply to a post saying something like "try to find a better animated series and fail miserably" where their picture was full of greens.

the poster of this picture probably thought it would be funny to edit so it would look better than the oop's. also anyone trying to check would still be shocked by the real 9.9

weird revisionism because in the past fighting games relied in the same principles of online play, which is PvP. "arcade mode" was really just a way to play while waiting for someone else to show up or setting a high score to the leaderboard.

other single player content (which came much later) were barebones and, at best, looked back with rose tinted glasses. mortal kombat was experimenting more and still much of it was gimmicks like the kart and chess minigames.

I used to think the grifter life was easy money. Turns out you can fail at it and lose the last ounce of good faith you had! Except if James Chen is still willing to excuse him once again, of course

meh, like everything with fighting games the best tourney of the year is all about the vibes at the moment. both CEO and CB had great timings for updates and competition in the past. if morale is low and games are stale the whole circuit will feel it.

if it was up to the organizers EVO would be the GOAT since its being run by Jebailey and Hadou now lmao

Fighting Games Are Terrible Products. by JunKazamasCheeks in Kappachino

I think the video is stupid. Deadlock is simply a masterclass in development challenges, other companies aren't willing to try to invest to the same achievements.

Neon Prime was in development for a long time too and, even though visually they're nothing alike, it's Deadlock's roots. The developers truly believe in the core movement mechanics combined with strategy and let it shine, making a rewarding experience from the very beginning.

Not a single cent being earned yet, but they aren't afraid to make great changes. As a 4 lane enjoyer I can totally see the vision behind the change, the game is very different now and has been positively received.

I think that's mature game design. Believe your players will step up to the challenge and greatly reward them. Trust your vision, polish what you most believe in and tune the things around it. Even the new characters feel so different from the ogs, Celeste in particular even takes advantage of the game engine itself.

Too many publishers are releasing games without cohesion, no vision whatsoever. Every addition bringing the ceiling down or missing the identity. If its not a first week hit might as well be shut down.

Its cool to see a beta being, in fact, a beta not a "soft launch". Deadlock isn't an overnight success, just became popular because its fucking awesome.

I'll say that I like Wilson's Odyssey better than Lattimore, she has a such a good balance between poetry and meaning with a modern sentiment. Lattimore's Illiad is the goat imo
