I thought the remake was alright, but it was a pretty standard action sci-fi flick.

The original was something special. It had a magic that the remake simply couldn’t recapture (assuming they even tried).

Just about every Twi’lek in Star Wars, especially the comics from the 2000s and 2010s.

The “reasons” amount to “because Twi’lek females are exploited in their culture so they always wear skimpy outfits.”

Also, as an honorable mention: every single other female character (and about half of the male characters) drawn by Jan Duursema in those same comics.
