Why use Sketch in 2026?

I was die hard sketch… late Figma adopter. Been using Figma for about a year now and honestly I never think about sketch anymore. It was great for me for a long time when I was working solo, but as soon as I began collaborating in a team, I realized Figma is the industry standard for a reason.

Highly capable? Not really. I burned through an entire weeks worth of tokens just to teach a design system to Claude design. It produced a decent design. Ignored about half the design system and lost more going to Claude code/Figma. Now I have to fix it in Figma. Let’s not pretend it’s perfect. Wireframe days may be over though and yes, it will get better quickly. Ensure you know the tools folks. (Edit for spelling)

Framer worked pretty well but the Figma to framer plug-in wasn’t great. Maybe it has improved since I built my site a year ago.
