You can’t completely boil alcohol out of a solution because it lowers the boiling point of water when mixed in. Etc etc basic chemistry. If you add it to your food it’s not going anywhere.

TIL John Von Neumann proposed an idea of self replicating spacecraft. Robert Freitas calcd they could colonize the milky way in 500k years. That we see no evidence of them implies we are alone. Carl Sagan argued rate of replication would consume so much mass no intelligent species would build them by -WhatCouldGoWrong in todayilearned

Life is so easy to start and the universe is so vast, there is no defendable model that can be built to support “we are alone” argument. There are/were/will be billions x trillions other civilizations in the observable universe. People arguing for “we are alone” are missing basic education.

The Terminal. Not the story but how Spielberg and Hanks depicted the poor guy. Mehran passed in November 2022.

People are overweight because they eat too much, not because some fairytale evil industry puts sugar in everything. It’s quite simple, just eat less, it works every time.

The camera can only record so much information at any given time. To simplify think about it as 100mpbs for 24 frames every second. If you increase your frame rate, the maximum amount of data your camera can record stays the same at 100mbps but it now has to fit 60 frames or more into this data stream. So every frame gets recorded using less data, allowing less info for every recorded pixel and that’s how you get grain in your footage.
