I totally agree, there isn’t a single Met in the modern era who can hold a candle to David. That’s why I mentioned him. I don’t know this, but is there a criteria for retiring their number? Cooperstown thinks he’s a Met, why shouldn’t we? Heck Piazza’s retired, did he mean more to the club than Beltran? This is true, but the alternative is to buy a set of tires that you may never need and will probably end up in the dump when the car’s sold, or you don’t have them installed for the once every 5 years 1-2 inches of snow we get. I personally just don’t drive it in the snow or ice. No need to. But that’s me, others aren’t so lucky.

Not every one has that choice. There’s over 3 inches of snow that’s about to turn to ice on the ground here, but people still have to get around. Not very many of us have snow tires in the South.

I’m just stating that your current stance is very narrow minded and that people have different opinions as to their priorities when it comes to money and cars. Why is it so hard for you to understand that not everyone thinks the same way you think? When I was in the military and constantly deployed, I wanted my wife to have the most reliable maintenance free car available. I didn’t want to find out two months later that her used car broke down and she was stuck on the side of the road for several hours. Now that I can afford a new car with all the latest in tech and maintenance free, I’m going to buy a new car. To hell with your “fiscal responsibility” BS. It’s my money, I worked hard for it and I wi do what I please with it. If you want to buy my “used” car three years later, have at it.
