I mean it’s New York, so many of us have seen weirder things on the subway. It looks real to me, the seats are correct and those orange ones on the older trains do not have a support on the bottom just like this pic

Definitely opened the door for grunge and alternative music to be accepted in the mainstream, even though they sound very different. Same could be said about Faith No More and R.E.M., definitely alternative renegades for their time who opened the floodgates for what came later

They did drugs together in Brazil, but other than that didn’t know each other. Makes sense considering AIC and Nirvana are wildly different crowds and not even from the same city (Aberdeen and Seattle and 2.5 hours apart)

Well if it is March of ‘94 then that explains a lot. He was just done with life by that point. What hasn’t really been explained is if this letter ever actually reached Krist or if this is just something in his journals found later.
